We chose the Glover Park Hotel for the location, which fit the needs of our short DC trip (supermarkets, pharmacies, coffeeshops nearby with good public transport). Beds are comfortable and there are plenty of outlets to charge your tech. Otherwise, cannot recommend this hotel. Wifi is patchy at best, front desk staff don't seem to know what they're doing and don't seem to care (it took us four separate tries to get keys that work for our room door), and the bathrooms are tiny with weak water pressure. Cleaning is only every other day, and this is an old hotel with evidently less money put in for maintenance (rusting door hinges, peeling paint are just left on show).

The toilet backed up but they fixed it promptly. Free snacks and drinks were a plus. The restaurant was convenient but pricey. Great neighborhood.

Nothing special. Overpriced for what it was. Very average room and tiny bathroom. Only advantage was proximity (30 min walk) to AU which was purpose of our visit.

Clean, modern and tasteful with a surprisingly good restaurant. We chose to eat there twice and were not disappointed! Hotel and restaurant staff was friendly and helpful. Our bedroom was nice with a modern flair. Bathroom maybe on the smaller side but fine. The bedroom floor was plank flooring rather than carpet (I actually prefer carpet but that's just me and not a big deal). The only negative was a rather loud ventilation system that - for me - was more noticeable than acceptable white noise levels. I would return to the Glover Park Hotel if knew that the noise was exclusive to our room as this is a nice hotel.

It’s okay but not what I expected on what I see on the picture.. shower is not good at all. Bed is kinda hard. But the receptionist are good and respectful, even the dining people are awesome too..

Superb customer service. It's located in a very nice area, however it is pretty far from museums and downtown area. Even though it was clean it can definitely use updating! Especially the bathrooms. The beds were super comfy.

This is the 7th time I have stayed at the Glover Park and this was a completely different experience from the previous visits that I enjoyed. The parking went up from $30 to $45 plus 8$ tax, when I checked in they failed to mention the increase. We had nice toiletries when we arrived but 2 days later when the room was cleaned they disappeared and were replaced with a bar of soap. We called for ice and were given about 15 cubes in a tiny bucket not even 1/3 filled. The room had a funky smell and was old looking. The entire vibe of the hotel was different. In past visits the staff went out of their way to assist you and even offered room upgrades but this time the hotel was different. My daughter attends college a few blocks away so I plan on visiting a few more times before she graduates next year?but I think I’ll be looking for a new hotel

Easy check-in. Clean, comfortable room. Reservation was for early to mid-week, and was very quiet. TV with Xfinity remote unable to adjust brightness- screen too bright to look at during evenings. No other complaints- will return and recommend!

Loved the area the hotel is in, walked to nearby restaurants and the National Cathedral as well as the zoo. We also used the nearby bus stop. We ate breakfast in the restaurant and the food was good and our service was excellent. We could see the Washington Monument from our window. The front desk staff did not have good information about the bus system nor did the concierge chat. We had a lovely stay and highly recommend.

We love this hotel and have stayed there at least ten times, as our daughter lives in the area. This time the bathroom needs updating, the paint is chipping, and housekeeping left us one hand towel and no face cloths after cleaning the room. Will they ever open the outdoor bar again?

Check in was slow. Parking was not available if your car is over six foot tall. If it fits, it cost $45.00. The beds in our room creeked very loud whenever you moved. The food was so-so in the resteraunt but the servers might be the best I've ever had.

Loved being next to the Washington National Cathedral. And surrounding single family homes and neighborhood where beautiful to walk through after a day of touring DC. The tempurpedic king bed was amazing. Check in and out was easy and simple. Loved all the amazing complimentary food and drinks offered on our floor when you get off the elevator. Public transport not easy to get too. Not close to the Metro. Glover park grill that is attached did not have a ton of options and was too expensive for what you get. Bed was not made with a fitted sheet, loose sheet, and comforter. Bed was only made with a loose sheet and comforter. Shower was too small and shower head was at a weird angle. There was not a to of great restaurants and things to do around the hotel. Mainly a place for surrounding embassies. Overall great experience and good bang for your buck. Just be prepared to spend a little more on Ubers/Liyfts feeding to the closest Metro Stops.

The hotel is in a fantastic area, it’s very quiet and partly residential but if you’re open for a bit of a walk there’s restaurants as well. The room we stayed in was not as modern and trendy as advertised. Very basic room with outdated details. Bed was as solid as a rock. There seemed to be something melted into the carpet that could not be cleaned out. The lobby and hallways seemed to be decorated really well but that did not carry over into the rooms. I was only there for one night so the room served its purpose but was by no means comfortable accommodations.
