A cute little house almost on the Katy Trail. Bring your bikes, bring your dog, bring your friends.   
  
After a long day of riding the Katy Trail and enjoying the local wineries and breweries, or maybe you are in the area celebrating a wedding, the Katy Haus is your place to kick back and relax.   
  
THE SPACE   
  
Located nearly on the Katy Trail in Marthasville, Missouri, the Katy Haus is in Missouri wine country and less than an hour from St. Louis.   
  
Bike shuttle and rentals available nearby (seasonal), the best pizza in the county is steps from the door, and wineries are a short bike ride down the Katy Trail (or a 2 minute drive down the road).   
  
Ride the Amtrak train to Washington and get a bike shuttle to the Katy Haus to ride the Katy Trail.   
  
The Katy Haus is a one level little house with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom (handicapped friendly). It sleeps a total of 4 people and is dog friendly.   
  
We love daylight and filled the house with it. The open great room has extra tall ceilings, large windows, and a luxury king sleeper sofa.   
  
The full kitchen has everything you need except the food to make your own meals, including place settings, pots and pans, wine glasses, and both a Keurig and a regular coffee maker.   
  
The single bedroom has a king size bed with crisp white linens from The Distinguished Guest and light blocking curtains for sleeping late.   
  
And the bathroom, well, guests have commented that it is the best shower ever. Extra large in size and has a handheld shower head for extra accessibility.   
  
OUTDOOR SPACE  
  
Hot tub and a fenced yard is now in place for you and your doggies! Fully fenced for privacy with a nice grassy area for your doggie to play.  
  
BIKE SHED  
  
We now have a bike shed (shared with the Bank Haus) if you would like to store your bikes.  
  
WINERIES   
  
Lake Creek Winery is only 2 miles down the road. Blumenhoff Winery in Dutzow is 6 miles by bike, and Augusta Brew Haus is 13 miles by bike.   
  
WEDDINGS   
  
Are you attending a wedding nearby at Boone Monument Village (2 minutes), Lake Creek Winery (2 minutes), or in the nearby town of Washington (8 minutes)? We are happy to host you!   
  
For large groups, reserve both the Katy Haus and Bank Haus as they are next door to one another.   
  
NEIGHBORHOOD   
  
Katy Haus is located on Depot Street, what used to be the main street in Marthasville, an historic town that just celebrated its 200th anniversary. Depot is now a sleepy street that sees more people biking and walking than driving cars.   
  
Philly's Pizza is across the side street from the Katy Haus and has delicious pizza.   
  
Note that the MFA Co-op is directly across the street in front of the Katy Haus. This is a working grain silo location for area farmers and does produce dust during loading and unloading of grain and corn occasionally throughout the day.   
  
Observe a small town American farming community during your stay in Marthasville!

🚗 Drivers license will be required with our signed guest agreement after you book, along with a selfie holding your photo ID  
  
🆔 We will perform a Guest ID verification securely through our payment processor after you book. The main purpose is to make sure no one has stolen your credit card and used it without your permission.

#### Great place on the trail!

We have stayed here twice and it’s a darling property. We are also vacation home owners so we are fairly picky about where we stay. This place has the best location, is super clean and has everything you would need. The hot tub is great, love the addition of the lights and chairs. Just across the street from the Katy trail and right next door to a great little pizza place. The owners are very attentive and easy to reach. We will definitely be back for a third visit.

#### Birthday getaway

We had a nice relaxing stay. We took our dog g walking on the Katy Trail, We ate breakfast at the Rooster, pizza at Philly’s, enjoyed some music and wine at Lake Creek Winery. The hot tub was nice but we found it awkward that we had to access it through the bedroom and front porch. We did enjoy using it twice. The house had everything 2 people needed. I would stay again.

#### Excellent Vacation Rental

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend exploring the KATY Trail area. This house has been done very well. It is comfortable and roomy. Everything inside the home is new and well maintained. The front porch is a great place to sit and have your morning coffee. The little side yard is also a very nice feature. We were very pleased with our stay here and would consider it again if we are ever in the area.

#### Get away for 2

This is the perfect little nook for a slower pace of life. The quaint town is quiet and relaxing if you’re looking to decompress. We had our two dogs accompanying us and it was the perfect amount of space for us and them. The house had enough entertainment with having WiFi and board games. Would definitely recommend and will be looking forward to renting this place again!

Had a lovely 2 night stay. Everything was just as described! Owner went out of his way to help with very last minute bike rental. He was very communicative and the check in/out process was easy and straightforward. The vrbo had everything I needed and was very clean and spacious. Location was superb...right next to pizza, a park, and the Katy trail. Quick 12 min drive into Washington. Would definitely recommend.

#### Great little house in a great little town

We enjoyed Katy Haus & Marthasville, which is a super jumping off spot for lots of lovely MO towns like Washington & Hermann (that is, if the smallness of M-ville seems restricting, but we loved the pace). The house lives large for a 1BR/1BA, and the living spaces are generous (that couch is comfy!). The kitchen is ideal, there is a W/D, and the house is clean & inviting; it offers secure parking with good lighting, and the Katy Trail is literally across the street (it's fun to porch sit to watch through-bikers come and go with their gear and stories). We recommend Philly's Pizza for delicious pizza & ravioli as well as superb customer service. We also ate several meals at Maverick's (easy to miss but right next door to Philly's). The fenced outdoor space is pretty tiny & needs some attention; mostly, it doesn't feel very private with the adjoining residences. The front yard, though, is huge & was great for our dog (who was very comfortable here thanks to hosts toys/treats).

The house was very clean and matched the photos exactly. The great room was even bigger than expected! Unfortunately the large walnut tree that provides shade also covered the deck and yard with debris - which is toxic to dogs! So, I had to walk mine on leash in the park up the street. The walking trail across the street was great, as was the Philly pizzeria next door. Just wish we could have enjoyed the outside.

#### Short visit 

Small but nice. A little disappointed that there weren't any doors that led directly to the fenced area, without having to go to the front porch and around to the fence. Just hard with dogs, but otherwise pleasant

#### Wonderful peaceful place to stay.

The welcome gifts were nice to see. It is a very comfortable house. A super quiet neighborhood. There were short drives to attractions in other towns. We highly recommend Ashes Glass in New Haven we found on this website. Also, a short drive away is Big Joel's Safari. Our grandson had a wonderful time visiting and feeding the animals.

#### Katy Haus is terrific

What a great place to stay & what great hosts! They thought of everything, including a pdf guidebook they send you the link to before your stay. Comfy King bed, well-stocked kitchen, fabulous shower and great location near the Katy Trail. Makes for a super fun & relaxing stay.

#### An amazing quiet getaway for my husband and I!

My husband and I were looking for a one night getaway. This house was perfect! We spent the day at area wineries, then headed to the house. It was clean and just as described. It was simply decorated, which I loved. Kitchen was well stocked! I was impressed by the crockpot and blender for use, even though we didn’t need them. The front porch with rockers was perfect as was the hot tub! After relaxing in the hot tub we decided not to go back out, so Phillys from across the street delivered dinner! The hosts were amazingly attentive! Just the perfect getaway!

#### Perfect spot on the Katy Trail.

Super cute home, just steps from the trail. Had everything we needed and exceeded our expectations. Communication from property manager was quick, especially when they let us know they were laying sod in the yard during our stay. Hot tub is a great perk after a long day of riding. We would totally stay here again!

#### Perfect Place to Recover

Trail is literally outside the front door! Long day on trail, this is perfect place to rest. Hot tub, comfy king sz bed, updated kitchen and bath. Very happy with this gem along the trail. Pup came too!!

Nat and Tyann were lovely hosts and have clearly put a lot of thought into making Katy Haus the perfect spot for visitors! The house was more spacious than I had imagined from the pictures and was well stocked with the essentials for a successful trip. Thank you, Nat and Tyann!

#### Peaceful retreat

After spending days with over 100 people and barking dogs, coming back to Katy Haus and its quiet was a great way to end each day. It had everything necessary to make the stay enjoyable, comfortable bed, great heating/air conditioning system and was spotless. The handicap access ramp on the front porch made entry/exit super easy for my old dog, which she greatly appreciated.

#### Cute comfy cottage!

Very welcoming as you walk in the door. The bed and furniture were very comfortable. We walked our dogs along the Katy Trail Which is just across the street and the house was central to everything we wanted to do and see! The hot tub was a bonus and all the instructions were emailed, posted in the house and clear. Thanks for a great stay!

#### Nice tidy little house

Perfect for a small family or couple. The hot tub was nice and secluded. All the appliances worked and the TV was in good shape. It’s just across the street from a nice little pizza joint and the Katy Trail. Washington Mo is only 10 minutes away if your wanting more options for food as there is not a lot there in Marthasville.
