Well run hotel minutes from D.C. metro

Pros: Location, staff, breakfast, free shuttles
Cons: Better prepared eggs for breakfast-hard to do though I'm sure, as they serve so many customers
Location: Great little bar and restaurant right next door at the Radisson with an extremely delightful bartender named Sophie! Lots of restaurants nearby
My husband and I stayed for a week recently at this Hampton, which provided a free shuttle from Reagan airport for us at 9:00 at night. There were two small problems with the room (shower rod threatening to come off the wall, dresser drawers that didn't close and were blocking a path to the bed) but the staff fixed them that next day. The queen size bed we had in our little suite was very comfortable The buffet breakfast was very adequate-lots of fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, and a selection of some hot dishes. All the servers were very prompt at refilling the items and keeping them attractive, no mean feat as there were many, many teenagers staying there too for their educational trip to D.C. That said, the hotel was very quiet, we never knew the kids were there during the evening. Quiet except for the construction going on next door. The walk to the Crystal City Metro was less than ten minutes, and the ride to the Mall in D.C. ten minutes. This was a very satisfying and less expensive alternative to staying in the City.

Good Location with Airport Shuttle

Pros: location, airport shuttle, sack breakfast for travelers leaving before the regular breakfast starts, also list of recommended local restaurants.
Hotel was fine, but I regret booking through Expedia as I was not able to get my AARP discount. And when booking through a third party (Expedia) the rate you paid is the rate you paid, and no adjustment can be made by the hotel.

Great price, great location

We visited DC for a couple of days and this hotel was affordable for a family of four and very close to the metro station. It was great that we were able to keep the car in their garage and travel to the city by train. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The only issue was the window unit which was extremely noisy and kept me up. It was an on/off unit without a thermostat. I shut it off eventually, but it got really hot and stuffy and I could still hear units from the other rooms. I would stay again for the price and the location though.

Free breakfast in a great location

The hotel is located just 2 blocks away from the Metro, which is one of the easiest subways systems in the world to navigate. Just a block from the hotel you can find a multitude of restaurants offering Italian, Mexican, Spanish, and Chinese food. This is a great location at a great price. Free Wifi and breakfast make this a no brainer to book.

Overall the stay was excellent. One of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in. The hotel was close to everything. Our concierge, Mario, was very helpful.
