Beautiful house in rural northern Berkshire County. Property sits on 8 acres of land, 4 acres mowed and maintained. Two 1200 square foot barns. In ground swimming pool. 4 bedrooms, 1 bath. Fenced in area for pets. Fully furnished. There is a finished bedroom in the downstairs that can serve as additional living space or game room. 20 minutes from the New York State line and 30 minutes from Bennington, Vermont. Great for summer events - close to Lee, Stockbridge, Tanglewood. Excellent for winter skiing, snowmobiling. Wonderful for fall foliage. Hunting for all seasons. Abundance of state parks including October Mountain. Close to skiing areas including Jiminy Peak, Catamount and Butternut. Close to snow mobile trails, cross country skiing, hiking.

Internet and WiFi, DishNet for TV (TVs in all rooms - 5 total). Great place for weekly or monthly rental. Pets are allowed. Heat sources include wood (wood stove in main living area), oil, and electric. Front porch and back deck. Large pool area - pool has diving board and is 12 feet deep at one end and 3 feet deep at the other.

Reservation had to be cancelled, fine. But the host insisting I cancel first, which would automatically make me forfeit my full refund, was not. Beware—never believe when you’re told to cancel first. This attempt to keep my money is unacceptable.

Perfect

This getaway was great for our family’s annual summer camping trip. Bedroom on first level, to accommodate the dog and grand mother. Lower level bedrooms to accommodate the adult child (and grandson) having a private getaway. The pool is COLD but swimmable if you can handle that. Oh and lots of board games and PlayStation. We will return again and again now as it fit all our needs and beyond!

Great Weekend

We enjoyed our weekend at the cabin in the Berkshires. Communication with the property manager was excellent and we appreciated his quick reply to our question about check-in. The fenced-in yard and pool were great features.

We had a great time and appreciate you allowing us to have a place to stay through everything. Loved having the fenced yard and pool. Could use some notice of people coming and going - tended to upset my daughter when she was home alone with the dogs not knowing who would be coming and going, often pretty early in the day. If the pool was vacuumed at all before the last Wed. we were there it didn't look it. That was the first time it looked really clean. Also they showed up before 7:00 am - that was a little rough. Honestly that was the only real thing that was a bit of a struggle. I know most don't stay as long as we did so it was a bit different. Having a schedule of the comings and goings would have helped us prepare. We definitely weren't ready to go and it was so much better than where we are now. Again thank you for everything!

Problem with shower, water very slow and slower still if someone is using the kitchen sink , and hot water turns cold. Suppose to be good for 8 but the basement bedrooms (2), was set up with open construction on hallway, musty. Did not use since we have allergies. Luckily there was 6 of us instead of 8 , and 2 slept on the sofa, no folding beds or air beds. Internet was fine. Had problem with TV, caretaker came to fix, living room worked fine but in one bedroom was erratic , not used. Closet musty.

Quiet getaway

The property was great - having a fenced in yard for the dogs and the in ground pool made it feel like a perfectly contained vacation. There was also a pub about 5 minutes down the road (Route 8) that was very good food.

Everything you want and need

Place was great, back yard is way bigger than it looks in pictures. The host was great they keep the place stocked with a lot of odds and ends that you don’t think about. Very stocked up from nutra blender to dog dishes. Plenty of room!!!

Great stay

Our family had a wonderful time. The pool was a big hit with the kids, especially! The fenced yard was perfect for our dogs, as well. The Berkshires are beautiful, and this was a great place for us to get away for a few days.

Great for a Berkshire vacation with your dogs!

The house is clean, comfortable and a perfect place for a vacation with canine family members. The yard is completely secure for dogs with a sturdy 6’ high fence. Our dogs loved it! The only downside was the traffic noise, since the house is right on busy Route 8. Things dud quiet down at night. We will definitely stay here again.

We a family of 6 had a great time staying at this property. There's 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 in the basement, so its plenty of space for everyone to spread out. We loved how open the house was, no clutters, and as a family with a 2 year old that was very appreciated. The kitchen was well stocked with all kind of appliances, dinnerware, and an array of condiments. Kids had a blast in the pool. You are in a good location to explore town and adjacent ones. Thank yoi for providing a clean and safe home to guests.

A great break for all

We hosted our daughter and her friends - all camp counselors in the Berkshires - when they had a midweek day off. The house worked well. Everyone used the pool, the wi-fi and the laundry and our beagle enjoyed the fenced in backyard. The girls slept soundly in the two bedrooms in the basement and love relaxing on the couches. I was a little surprised by how remote Washington was; there is not even a general store and we had to drive into Pittsfield for milk. Overall, it was great to get to see this part of the region and we enjoyed the time at the house!

Great Weekend

The upstairs of the house was great. Clean, well stocked kitchen, lots of towels and a welcome bottle of wine. The backyard was beautiful. Plenty of room to hang out, play games, and there was lots of wood for the firepit. Pool area was lovely. The only issue we had was that two bedrooms were in the basement and the basement wasnt finished being remodeled as of yet. I voiced my concern with owner and we it was worked out immediately which was appreciated. Once the basement is finished the whole house will be a great place to stay. We were there for a concert at Tanglewood and location was perfect. All in all a great place to stay with a very responsive and helpful host.

Fun for the people and dog!

Our second time here and it was a wonderful time. We enjoy hanging by the pool and our dog loves the large fenced in yard. Property manager quick to respond and overall we just had a great, relaxing getaway.

Home away from home

This review is long overdue. The stay was in the late fall and perfect time for a cozy evening fire in the Livingroom wood stove. There is ample space throughout the house to have a bit of privacy from others. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a full meal and then some. The grounds are kept very nicely. The property is on main road , yet still you have privacy. The fenced yard is a huge bonus, our dog loved it! There is a pool, I'm sure it's awesome in the summer. The property manager is very quick to respond to any needs. The décor is eclectic, tasteful and homey. If you are coming to the Berkshires and want to be a bit away from the busyness of the city, yet not so deep in the woods you can't find your way out, This is a great place to stay during any season.

Great little get away

This house was perfect for my family of 7 people and 8 dogs. Big open kitchen and dine in area was great for keeping traffic managable. The living room was cozy with the fire. Fenced in backyard is huge and great for our heard of pups. Owner was communicative and easy to work with.

Such a nice place to stay!

The place was very nice spot for me and my family to stay for the Thanksgiving holiday, and the fact that we could bring our dog to was amazing and he loved running around the back yard. We are gunna try and come back when the weather's warmer and we can try out the pool!

Relaxing-Home away from home

The property is very well kept. The better features of the home are the pool and fenced in yard, but overall there were many more. Our little dog love sitting in the sun room and sleeping where ever the sun moved. The foliage this time of year in this area is beautiful. I'm sure with a pool, it is just as nice in the summer. I only stayed with my spouse because this location allowed pets which was great., however there is definitely room for a family. We would absolutely stay again and would recommend. Thank you :)

Lovely Anniversary Getaway

This was a clean and comfortable house for our anniversary getaway with a great fenced in yard for our dogs to enjoy. Complementary wine was a delicious welcome treat! We enjoyed nearby trails for hiking and gorgeous October weather and foliage. Cooked in the well equipped kitchen and had great takeout from Route 8 Pub in Becket and Patrick’s Pub in Pitsfield. Looking forward to coming back sometime - maybe when it’s warm enough to enjoy the pool - or maybe for more vivid foliage scenery next year.
