« It was great to return to the Fairfield area. This house is in an excellent location, close to the lakes & preserves. The address now brings you directly to the driveway via gps. A few years ago that wasn’t the case. The only critters I saw in the house weren’t cringeworthy at all, a cricket & a ladybug. It would have been nice to have access to ice or even a tray that I could fill & freeze. I would definitely return again! »

« Overall, the cottage was a great stay for us. We came down from Pittsburgh for Family Weekend at ECU and it was well worth it. The location made it very easy to drive to and from campus. The view of the river in the morning was incredible, and the fishing was great (we're big fishing people, so if you're into that sort of thing, would definitely recommend this cottage). The hosts were easy going, and easy to communicate with. We didn't need much, but when we had questions, they were quick to...

« Wonderful stay. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. Well stocked kitchen, lots of dishes, silverware, pots and pans (one thing I would suggest is a new can opener the one there does not work well). Beds were comfortable. The host was very accommodating (we locked the keys in the house and she responded to us right away). Would stay there again. Went to pocosin nature preserve to photograph the tundra swans. Drove to pea island for more photography. Excellent trip. »

« The house was exactly as pictured. The area was very quiet- we didn’t see or hear anyone else the whole weekend! Would highly recommend for a quiet fall weekend. Van Dee was super responsive and helpful. Our only suggestion would be more kayak paddles. We could only locate one. »
