Room was clean and so were towels. Great price compared to some of the other bigger names in the area. Fridge and microwave in all rooms. With direct tv and internet. Friendly staff. Would use again if in the area.

The Huggy Bear Motel is a little gem tucked away in a small town that is a great place to rest when traveling on I-69. The owners and staff are always very professional and helpful, especially when you leave something at the motel.

A family owned and operated for many years. It gives me a warm welcome when I first walked into the main office. It has a basketball net which my kids loved. A great little place to stay a few nights. The rooms are very clean with fresh towels and bed sheets. The room are very cozy which makes a great sleep. Wifi is supper fast but no breakfast. McDonalds is close by.

Nice and economical place to stay
Very nice and helpful staff; clean and comfortable rooms with decent amenities---TV, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator etc. Only negative (and it's a small one): the ceiling fan was a bit squeaky. But that was a minor detail. The price was great, and it was pleasant staying out in the country, but just off a main highway for convenience. I'd definitely stay there again.

I love that it's an affordable option that's clean and well maintained. The rooms have a microwave, coffee pot, and refrigerator. Huggy Bear is our go-to when we need a cheap overnight stay near Marion.

Great little place to stay.
Fantastic little gem of a hotel tucked off the interstate. Super friendly owner with very clean rooms. Quiet and peaceful, a nice respite from the typical highway hotels. The name is a nice throwback to the good old days of road tripping with my folks.

The best!
Friendliest, cleanest budget motel ever, rooms look recently updated and fully equipped. Feels safe and comfortable. Easy stay with a dog and good layout to fit dog crate next to bed. Green space easily accessible and reasonable daily fee per dog. Happy to stay at the HuggyBear anytime I'm in the area.

A great room! Loved the ceiling fan. I got there early and they let me check in with no problems and very friendly. The only down thing was there was a plug in air freshener, which I am allergic to. I threw the plug in in a plastic bag and took it out of the room. Luckily the weather was very nice and the area felt very safe so I was able to leave my door open for a few hours. I would stay there again.

Upon verification of my reservation i was upgraded to a king bed and bigger room at no extra cost. Management was also very helpful at helpful me figure out the tv and get me connected to the internet cause i was having difficulties connecting

Nice little independent motel
I would recommend this motel to anyone wanting a clean, quiet, well maintained motel. The rates are very reasonable and I'm sure we'll stay here again.

The rooms were very clean. Shower was hot and good water pressure. My only draw back was that the bed was a little worn out and the walls were thin. I could hear the person next door snoring thru the walls. I would stay there again.

Huggy Bear Motel met our basic requirements of, Clean, Neat, comfortable beds, Safe Parking, clean bathroom, & everything in the room works. If I had to note a problem it was with the WIFI signal it was very weak and often would have a OK signal and a BAD signal.

I was pleasantly surprised by how clean Huggy Bear was when I got there. Contrary to the Expedia statements, they do have 24 hour check in, which was great for me when I arrived at midnight. The only drawback, was there were no bear hugs. lol

I have stayed @ the Huggy Bear 3 times in the past, always very good and satisfied. Our last stay on Apr. 1st was "exceptionally" good in how "clean" it was. Our trip home to Canada, we stayed in 5 hotels. Due to the Corona VIrus, in "every" hotel I immediately wiped down "everything" in the room with sanitary wipes. The 4 previous hotels were filthy or dirty on all wipes, but in the Huggy Bear Motel, it was "SPOTLESS" on all my sanitary wipes. Way to go, very impressed and cannot wait to come back again. Thank you

They should really catch up on ADA regulations pertaining to service dogs. I was tired and did not want to debate so I paid the extra money. Other then that it was comfortable.

Huggy bear is the best.
The Huggy Bear is the best small hotel... i have returned to this morel motel twice now, and the service is amazing the rooms are clean and comfortable.

This is a family owned motel. You can tell they try, but it’s dated. Carpet is worn as are the bed linens. Bathroom was clean and operative. This is fine for a night if you need a place to sleep.

The stay at the motel was fine, a very good experience for the low cost. The pillows could have been a little softer, but overall no complaints. Was just passing through the area. If you plan to stop there just be aware there isn't much else around....the nearby restaurant wasn't very good, and other than a few gas stations and McDonalds, no place to eat.
