terrible hotel, I will never ever book this hotel again! Dark and dirty room, don't trust those room pictures on their page, you will expecting 10 time worse when you check in this hotel. Spider web hanging on the roof. no room service. when I first day check in, I even find some other customer's body hair on toilet, disgusting!

the price is too high like 5 star hotel when during dec countdown period, but the room environment is super old with dust and dirty on wall and bathtub is dirty and the ceiling also worst and lighting wayer is seenable at outside with no light available on one spot. the upper level flushing water or bath also can hear the water sound, when sleeping will worry the water like suddenly boom and down into my face from ceiling top. the bed is very tough or so call hard，not soft , but the good things is easy to fall in sleep, the staff service n attitude is good and helpful, just the room is really not match one star level with that 5 star hotel price.

The location is reasonably close to the train station, and quite close to the bus stops that can take you to most of tourist attractions. The property is old, but can't complain as the price is not bad. So overall it's not a bad option if you are looking for a reasonably clean and convenient accommodation within budget.

It was a nice hotel. Their staff will go above and beyond for you. Bus stops, 7 eleven stores, laundry-mat are in 1 block proximity. But where it falls short for me were the showers; it needs a shower curtain, it becomes a very slippery ground from showering water going everywhere in the bathroom. Grab on to the handles as tight as possible so you don’t fall. The beds were very firm, nearly hard as a rock. I thought I wasn’t going to get any sleep but it had its way to feel fine to sleep on. 4 large bottle of waters, tea pack and coffee where in the room. I do recommend this place and I would go back again, but just beware of the bed being very firm and the bathroom being messy wet after a shower.

First of all, there were some very nice people working there who were super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, my first impression wasn't great, I came there and the employee didn't seem to enjoy anything he was doing. Almost as if I had to say sorry for me getting a room there? Then I arrived in the room, for the fact that I needed to pay around 50 euros a night, I expected something more than just other people's hairs on the floor, bed, in the shower and around the whole room.. That really made everything very, very disgusting. Spots, hair, plastic wrappers??? That's not how it is supposed to be. Area isn't the greatest either. Great night market, but that's it. For me it was out of emergency I needed to stay here, but I will not be back. Wi-fi also didn't work.

I did payed for 49squares meters,but the firsts day they was put for me 20 squares meters was very dirty room so uncomfortable for 4 peoples . I went to complain then second day they was charged room better also we comfortable until the end I hope in future make sure they pay what as it is .frist day we lived room 603 and last 3 nights in room 707 Thanks Anh Nguyen

Hotel location is excellent because it's a walking distance fron Longshan MRT station. Also, a special thanks to the Hotel Supervisor, Mr. Oh. You made our family vacation memorable because of your excellent service. We will definitely come back in Taiwan and stay in Crystal Hotel.

Easy to find and staff was friendly. Not near a railway station probably an 8 minute walk. Not active neighborhood . Quiet.

Cheap, no frills accommodation
The hotel and the room that was given to us looks old and rundown. Bed is a bit hard and not as comfortable. Toilet also has a problem as the floor gets wet easily. Room and toilet were spacious though. Other rooms we saw seems a little bit newer or newly renovated. Service was satisfactory as we requested them to clean our room daily and toiletries and amenities were also replenished. Location was far from the nearest MRT or train station, around 600 meters. Good thing there were supermarkets nearby where you can get your daily needs. Overall, if you're just looking for a cheap, no frills accommodation, then Crystal Hotel maybe the one for you.

Only stay here as a last resort. There was no window in our room, water damage on the walls, which were also crumbling, They clearly did not clean the floors and shower etc, as someone else's hair was all over. They didn't even wipe the counters. The towels were ripped, the bed felt like I was sleeping on a cardboard box. Just a garbage hotel all around. Don't waste your money. Oh yeah - and the cups in the room for coffee were not even cleaned!!! They had old coffee in them!!!!

HOTEL FROM HELL
- room was in TERRIBLE condition, hair that wasn't ours was everywhere, and there were even random socks left from other people's visits before - most hotels give you bottles of water to drink. When I asked for an extra bottle, they said they would have to charge me an additional 60 NTD - there was no air circulation in the room. They insisted there was. I tried all the things they said to trouble shoot. When I finally managed to convince them to come look at the thermostat, they decided to say that due to it being winter (late February) they had all centralized air conditioning off. I advised there wasn't even air and they said they've turned off all the air circulation. The only thing they were willing to do was provide me with a standing fan. Which was NOT enough to keep air in the room moving. - bathroom had no lock on it and it was broken - the shower had no curtain and sprayed water everywhere - the faucets leaked and flooded the bathroom floor constantly - there was hair underneath the bedsheets and in the pillows - the towels had holes and stains - the room was terribly run down, paint chipped everywhere, trim was falling apart, paint peeling off the doors and knobs, no electronic lock, key card was literally a key

A Short Crystal Hotel Review
1. The room is clean and big but you can still smell a bit cigarette smoke in my non-smoking room. 2. My grandparents, who are over 85 years old, have difficulty in walking; instead of going downstairs to the buffet to have their breakfast, a hotel staff member took their food to their room, which we didn't ask for. Very sweet.

Omg this hotel is in need of a major uplift. The room is old. Mold in bathroom. Ceiling tiles with holes or had water damage. WiFi was no good. No heating. The bed was harder than concrete. There was some electrical wires hanging from an electrical socket which I know that isn't safe or at least poses as a safety issue. I can go on for days. Not to mention one of the staff was so unfriendly. All I can say is never again. Don't let them Web photos fool you folks it's not what they post.

Beyond my expection
Although the hotel is about 1Km from the Railway station, the conditions of the hotel is beyond my expection. The customer service is acceptable. Water pressure in the bathroom is unstable and is heat enough in summer. The suite is very romantic and is time to renovate. The typical breakfast buffet is fair enough. It would be a choice if you cannot find another one in high season.

For a Cheap Acceptable Hotel in Taipei it's Okay.
This hotel suffers from quite a lot of deferred maintenance. I believe that the current owners purchased this in very poor shape. They have spent a fair amount to bring this Hotel up to current health and safety standards. However, there is still a way to go. Be aware that the Hotel is somewhat "tired" Not all lights work. Not all switches work. Cleanliness of room was marginal, but acceptable if standards are not too high. Under all the dust, there are some nice touches; molding, bathtub, and nice lobby. Location is local neighborhood (though on a major street), can walk to Metro (takes approximately 15 minutes). Did I mention that Hotel is located across the street from Starbucks? Breakfast is included in price. This is an Asian Breakfast. To summarize; Cheap Location okay deferred maintenance Asian Breakfast. Nice Lobby
