We were 5 siblings plus their families (& Grandma) reunited for a fabulous weekend. Rented a pontoon from Hiawatha Beach Rentals. Brought our food from Costco & cooked in. Lots of games & activities. Our family was there to celebrate two birthdays, and the location couldn't have been better. Dock area is a little weedy for swimming, but the paddle board and kayaks were used quite a bit. Advance notice that the boat ramp down the road at the Mom & Pop resort was off limits would have been nice. It's 15 minutes to the public launch across the lake and could have launched that more efficiently if we'd known we had to go there ahead of time. Some type of shade or awning on the deck overlooking the lake would be a good addition. The afternoon/evening sun gets pretty hot out there for drinks or eating dinner. ##### Craig P. For us, it was a bit too remote - the closest shops were in Walker, a 25m drive away. Also there a few derelict (occupied) homes nearby a quite a few guard dogs that made walks from the property a bit scary for our family. We ended up driving 12m to the closest bike path for walks. The water sports and lake access are spectacular though and David was very helpful in organizing kayaks and paddleboards. Overall a great spot for water-based activities. ##### Steven P.
