In addition, this home is wheelchair-accessible, so all of your guests can join in the fun of an Oregon Coast vacation! Beach access is easy and nearby, down a five-foot wide path on Burl Drive. Yachats is just four miles south and downtown Waldport is only five miles to the north. You can visit galleries, restaurants, and bookstores in town, then come home and relax in front of the cozy wood stove. When you first arrive, you'll have a paved walkway from the driveway and a steel ramp that leads right to the deck and a wheelchair-accessible door to the master bedroom. This main level also includes maple hardwood floors, and in the spacious living room, a wood-burning fireplace, a 51-inch plasma TV, with cable, a DVD player, and Netflix streaming. You'll also have a beautiful kitchen and dining room, an outdoor deck with ocean views, as well as a fully-accessible bathroom in the master suite with an ADA-recommended design. The upper level of this Waldport getaway includes the second bedroom with a queen bed and a loft with two twin-size platform beds that work well for children over five. Upstairs you'll also have a second living room, including a queen-size sofabed. Up to eight guests (six adults) can stay comfortably at this vacation home. Other amenities include WiFi, a washer and dryer, a DVD library, partial A/C, board games, and a gas grill out on the deck. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. I loved that the main bathroom has its own heater, it was so nice to get out of the shower into a warm bathroom! Was a little apprehensive about the place at first as it's an odd set up. But, turned out we really liked the house. Like previous reviews there are not an extra blankets, but I had packed our own due to the reviews of no extra blankets. The yard was great for my dogs, but they are not jumpers so the 3 ft fence worked fine, but if you have jumpers you might think twice or bring a lead to tether them. In the main bedroom up on a ledge is a small bassinet, high chair and another item that was kinda creepy, but we still loved the place and we'll be back. Also moved the chairs to wear we could see the ocean and play cards on a beautiful day and that was really great too. All in all we liked this rental. ##### Peggy R. Aug 17, 2024 #### Great location This house is conveniently located about halfway between Yachats and Waldport, both charming little costal towns. A quick walk down the driveway, directly across the street is a “sort of “ pathway that leads past the large rental and pop’s you right out on a perfect beach. Takes about 5 minutes. You can also drive about 1/4 mile down the road to a parking lot at a campground and get to the beach that way, but it’s more crowded. The Drift Inn in Yachats was our favorite place to eat and we also enjoyed the Salty Dog in Waldport. Fabulous brewery in Newport in the old town, not by the wharf. The Newport Brewery I think. Great fish tacos. As far as the house goes, it could have been a lot cleaner. Also quite stuffy and hot in the afternoons and only a few windows that open. You can see the ocean from most of the backyard and plainly hear it. Good sunsets. I think this place might be great for a big family that’s not too picky.
