Sit back, relax, and watch the ocean waves roll up on the beach from the comfort of this home which is nestled right in the sandy dunes. A Shore Thing is conveniently located on the central Oregon coast with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and can sleep up to 6 guests. The brightly lit living area is open to the kitchen and dining room and is great for friends and family to enjoy time together and to watch the Pacific Ocean and the ever-changing sand dunes. A Shore Thing's wall of west facing windows will fill the space with light, and with its nautical and beachy decor, is guaranteed to add cheer to even the stormiest coast days. A cozy electric fireplace adds to the enjoyment of the room. Stream your favorite movie or show on the large flat screen TV in the living room after a busy day exploring the beach. Prepare your favorite feast and sit at the dining table which is perfect for family time meals, visiting, and playing board games or puzzles. A Shore Thing has a Primary bedroom with a king bed and fabulous ocean views that you can curl up in bed and enjoy! The second bedroom has a queen bed and a built in twin bunk bed. The living room also has a sleeper sofa for an additional sleeping option. One full bath is located between the two bedrooms with the second bath located off of the great room. The ocean facing deck is the perfect spot to enjoy on a sunny day where you can grill up an amazing catch of the day or sip on a favorite drink while you watch the sun sink into the Pacific. Feel more active? Head straight out onto the sand to stroll, jog, fly a kite, or just meander on the long, sandy beach. There is plenty of sand waiting to be transformed into sandcastles, and when you return from your beach adventure, you'll enjoy cleaning up in the outdoor shower conveniently located inside the back door. Your four-legged canine friends are welcome to join you here, too. Make A Shore Thing your choice year after year for fun on the central Oregon coast, it's as perfect for a romantic oceanside retreat as it is for a friends and family getaway. Guests of this home also have access to the Bayshore swimming pool (open seasonally in the summer) on a daily fee basis. The swimming pool schedule of swim times will be posted at pool entrance. Renters must provide their rental agreement and photo identification to gain access. Access may be restricted during busy times. Please note: Because the home sits in the dune on the south-side of Bayshore, the streets and driveway often fill with blown sand. The location was terrific, with direct access to the beach, which was the highlight of the trip. The kitchen was very well stocked, which was really nice, and the beds were comfortable. We also appreciated the closet stocked with books and games.There were a few quirks that didn’t significantly impact our stay but are worth noting. We weren’t able to figure out the thermostats, which led to some very warm and very cold moments. The dryer didn’t work well, so we ended up heading home with damp, musty clothes.There was also quite a bit of sand in and around the house. While there appeared to be a back deck, it was completely covered in sand and unusable during our stay. Additionally, there were two small beach chairs provided, but both were broken, so we eventually gave up and just sat on the sand.Overall, it’s a great house in an excellent location. Apparently the photos are not up to date as the sand dunes have blocked 80% of the ocean view we initially saw on VRBO. A huge portion of the overnight charge is based on location and view. The beach was epic and ideal for me to walk my dogs. The home exterior seems tired and exterior a bit run down. Kitchen windows are screened but have large holes, so flies happily came inside when I needed to open the windows. I was so looking forward to sitting out on the "patio" shown in the property description but it was entirely filled with sand to the top of its walls! I understand that the home is in an entire peninsula of dunes, but that amount of sand movement happened over a period of time, so I think that the property needs some better exterior management to make it more visitor friendly, or don't advertise the outside sitting area. ##### J G. Furniture smelled like pet urine. The outside patio was inaccessible due to being completely buried in sand. The shower between house and garage was convenient and the firepit was nice. There was only one window with a screen. Property host did not respond to message regarding concerns for cleanliness of house. Overall, not a property we will return to. ##### Mary S. Be aware that the dunes cover a lot of the ocean view from the house but it is a nice private location on a quiet beach. There weren’t any outside chairs provided so be sure to bring your camp chairs from home. If they have a shoulder strap you can carry them to the top of the dunes to see the sunset. ##### Cindi P. The master bedroom has a nice memory foam mattress. The second bedroom has a bed and bunks and the house supplies a pack and play, so all four kids slept comfortably together in the second room. The living room is oriented around the big windows overlooking dunes with a view of the ocean as well. In the pictures the home looks to be right in the sand and it did not disappoint in this regard. The kids spent hours playing in the sand and running around in the dunes. We could see them from the living room windows as we relaxed in the peaceful quiet! :) super easy access to the water for beach time, walks and searching the sand for treasures. All-in-all this was a lovely, modest location for a great long weekend. ##### Kane B. We celebrated our daughter’s 5th birthday here and she didn’t want to leave. The location was perfect. We were disappointed to find all of the outdoor and beach chairs broken. 5pm is also quite a late checkin (especially with littles) and communication regarding an earlier checkin could have been better. We had lunch at the Drift Inn and it was very lovely! ##### Morgan W. We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It was just my wife and I and our little pups. It was a good set up for us, and we were able to escape here and forget about our every day worries. Amenities were good and kitchen had enough utensils and pans for us to make our meals. The bed was comfortable and we slept great! The pups had fun on the beach. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Note that the kitchen pantry is not stocked at all. Only had salt, pepper and nonstick spray.
