I figured lack of A/C should not be a problem even in July, given 8100 ft. altitude. And cabin was very slow to heat up in the daytime (due to log construction). But conversely, at night we could not get it to cool down. Outside temps dropped into the 50-deg range, but even with all windows and screen doors wide open and central fan running, could not get cool air into the cabin. The bedroom especially seemed to have the least ventilation. Saw hot interior temps even til 2-3 AM.My suggestion; convert that unused chandelier in the loft alcove into a ceiling fan, and open one of those upper story windows a bit (in the summer only of course). We liked our stay, but a few minor things would improve the stay. There are several light switches without labels. We wanted to turn on certain lights and were unable to because we could not find the right switch. Also, some switches did not result in any changes of lights and so we were reluctant to try them again, because we did not want to inadvertently turn something off that was supposed to be on. The television sucks, we would have liked to get local news and weather out of Denver, but with the streaming, all news and weather was old. Nice quiet neighborhood with everything you may need or want. Nice private drive to park on too which is a plus. Very quiet, comfortable, and has a fenced yard. A great deal of care has been put into making this a great place to stay. Charming decor in this genuine log cabin. Visitors' needs have been anticipated and there was nothing lacking. I will definitely be back! ##### Sharlene H.
