"The place was clean, well equipped for families and couples like us, with plenty of bedrooms and living spaces with a large deck and outside seating. There were also kayaks to enjoy the stunning Marlborough Sounds.The property is perfectly located for walking and enjoying water sports. There is a 30 minute drive up a gravel road which can get a little muddy and slippery, so if you're hiring a car it might pay to get at SUV or 4x4, however, we did manage with a 4 door hatch.Havelock is close by with a small supermarket and plenty of cafés, there is also the mail boat for cruising the Sounds.Just a heads-up that due to location there is no cleaning service or rubbish collection so either bring your own bed lining or you will have to hang around while you wash and dry sheets. You will need to give yourself extra time in your schedule to wash and dry sheets and take the rubbish to the Havelock waste disposal, which was pretty easy.We loved the peace and quiet, with stunning views. It was perfect for what we wanted, to truly relax from our busy life. "
