It's a great place for people who like to snorkel, dive, fish and sail, or for those who like to keep their feet on land while enjoying a fabulous ocean view! Enjoy watching the boats sail into Maalaea Harbor and visit Maui's #1 tourist attraction, the Maui Ocean Center, as well as shops and restaurants at the end of the street! Island life is complete with ceiling fans in both bedrooms, the living room and dining room and split air units in each bedroom and the living area! If you need to stay in touch with the outside world, hi speed internet/wifi is available at no additional charge and a work desk to be comfortable if needed.. Maple cabinets, Corian countertops, porcelain tile and wood floors enhance your vacation experience inside. Being on top in our 4th floor, 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo only makes the view better! The condo has easy elevator access and air conditioning on days when the trade winds aren't enough to keep your comfort level perfect. The whales come back every year from December to April to put on their incredible show which can be seen while having breakfast on the lanai or directly in front of Kanai A Nalu. If you're up for more adventure, the Maalaea Harbor, just down the street, has daily boat tours to Molokini reef for snorkeling and scuba diving, or whale watching and sunset tours. World class golfing can be found all over Maui, some of the closest courses- Sandalwood, Waikapu, Lani and Elleair (Silversword) are within just a few minutes drive. Centrally located on the island, only 10 minutes from the airport in Kahului and 15-20 minutes away from the tourist areas of Wailea and Kaanapali, Kanai A Nalu is world's apart in it's solitude. The condo complex is on a quiet dead end street that ends at a park and 700 acre Kealia Nature Preserve. The other end of the street boasts the Maui Ocean Center (Aquarium), shops and restaurants, all within easy walking distance. The beach stretches for miles to the east, in front of the nature preserve and its gentle surf is great for boogie boarding, snorkeling and beginning surfers. Due to the preserve, there is no development for the first several miles along this picturesque beach so many times, you'll be one of the few on it. Whether you're looking for adventure or just want to get away from all the hustle and bustle, Maalaea is a great place to start! You can lounge by our heated pool or snorkel with the giant sea turtles. If you'd like to cook your own meals, you can do so in our full size kitchen, or use the gas or charcoal BBQ by the pool-but if you'd rather let someone else do the work, Maui has many wonderful restaurants. It is a nice quiet place to have coffee in the morning. We were able to walk down and watch the sun rise if we wanted a different angle. The entire experience was wonderful for our girl trip. I would most definitely stay again. There were 5 in our group and it was very spacious. They even were able to accommodate an early check in for us. We sat on the balcony that looks out over the beach and oven, and it was beautiful. Every morning and every night. I loved that there were 2 separate bedrooms, one have 2 beds so each of the kids got their own bed. They also had their own bathroom. A few weeks back we brought family from the mainland to experience Maui. This one was my wife and I could relax. The condo is well stocked, except for salt. Bring it if you want. We left some the first time we stayed but it didn't make it. I was prepared though. We have taken road trips to check out other beaches. This one by far is the best we have found. It is out of the way and central to most everything. Like Krispy Kreme, my breakfast destination. We don't have on on the Bihg Island. It can be windy at times. If it is more than you can deal with, head towards the bottom of the island. Beaches are better and there is a lot less traffic. Pool is heated. ##### Adam B. If this is your first time visiting Maui, you can’t do better. You’ll be adjacent to the longest, undeveloped beach in West Maui, with waves calm enough for young ones but still interesting enough for teens. Kīhei, Lao Valley and Lāhainā are a short drive away, as is the airport and roads to Hana and Haleakala. We had a wonderful stay at this condo in Maui. The unit is on the 4th floor at the corner/end of the building. There are elevators and even a luggage cart! So handy!! We had amazing views of the pool and the ocean. There was an air conditioner in the living room, which was great, but despite having ceiling fans, the bedrooms were hot. There was an oscillating fan in the 2nd bedroom and we bought a box fan for the master. It solved the problem! There were chairs, an umbrella, boogie boards, and even snorkeling gear available to use! The chairs and umbrella came in so handy! The condo is right near the marina where many excursions leave from. It was nice to be close. We were able to explore all over Maui and we enjoyed being close to everything. The washer and dryer were quite useful, although a laundry basket might have helped sine the “laundry room” is in the kitchen. The refrigerator was big and kept everything cold. The only downside is that there’s no available pantry, so we lost a lot of counter space with our groceries. One of the best features was that there were PLENTY of USB ports for us to plug in our phones and the kids’ games. Overall, the stay was great and I highly recommend this place!! ##### TeAnn P.
