We had a very good rate for this hotel so it was the only way we could stay in Wailea. The location is so much quieter than Kihei. We had the buffet breakfast included. It was good value with everything I could think of. The porridge was A+ and I had it with toasted coconut . Everyone in the hotel was friendly and courteous. The dinner menu was so expensive and even worse with Canadian dollar. The chef had created excellent flavours but the portions were small like any other fine dining Given lunch was just coffee we were starving . We went into Kihei most nights and found a Mexian restaurant with huge portions . A second restaurant had great food and reasonable cost; it was packed every night (both restaurants across from Kameolei 2 beach. Will return.
Loved everything about our stay. Suites were roomy, location to beach was great, all restaurants on site were fabulous, kids loved the pool/slide. My husband and I also loved the swim up pool bar. The hotel also has the option for you to book a photography session for 45 mins at no cost. You just pay for what photos you want. ( would recommend Brandon who was fabulous).
"Beautiful hotel. Prices high but to be expected."
It was a wonderful stay/location. The only complaint I have is that for the price having to pay an additional $40 per day resort fee for something I didn't plan to use at all (included different activities which is great if you want to do those things) and on top of that having to pay $30 a day for my vehicle parking (should have been part of the resort fee at least) was a bit much. Also the high cost didn't even include breakfast. The staff was great however. I had a water leak in room from the shower to the bedroom and it was fixed right away. I didn't have a view (when I booked it said view of the mountain) basically looked at the parking lot. It did force me to get out more but for the price I was just expecting a little more of the things you expect to be included like breakfast and parking especially for someone like me not interested in coconut husking, kayaking or hula dancing which is what the resort fees are for.

Hotel Wailea is a gem! Quiet, peaceful, beautiful relaxing pool and very well kept grounds. The guys that run the concierge desk are wonderful and we so appreciated everything they did for us. I highly recommend this hotel for couples looking for a romantic get away. Short drive to the beach. We did miss hearing the ocean waves in the evenings!
The best place to travel with your whole family! Espessialy when you have kids. We walked in with a wow and after checking in we found our room in no time. The gardens and water park are a great way to keep you kids entertained and the beach was just perfect. The rooms are clean but just a bit out dated with a few things. Overall experience was the best vacation I have ever taken. Customer service was excellent and the staff were absolutely amazing and friendly! Will defiantly go back again!
I was very impressed with the condo we stayed in. Beautiful views of the ocean, with easy access to the beach. The owners of the condo provided everything you need for a stay. Even a Maui guidebook, movies and Hawaii music. The housekeeping staff was excellent. A nice surprise was that this beach connects to Wailea beach. The condo faced the pool/hot tub and I was worried about noise. It was very quiet. If you are looking for a relaxing area to stay in, this is it. The beaches were never packed...unlike the ones in the Lahaina resort area.
Golf, golf, and more golf: the Wailea Golf Club’s three courses are a main attraction. Particularly, its Emerald Course is renowned for being one of the most friendly for women. Because the club is seaside, golfers can squeeze in seasonal whale watching during tee time. Shoppers can spend a few greenbacks at The Shops at Wailea, an upscale galleria with Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Tiffany & Co.
