The Resort provided many ammenities for us as guest. To name a few: there was a gym, laundry room, post office service, gift shop, late check out, and complimentary room for showering after late check out. One part of my stay that I really enjoyed was the breakfast buffet due to its many options and nice view. I didn't enjoy the small mosquitos that can get into the room through the lanai but they warn you about that since it is a typical island, plus there is a screen door and sliding glass for leading to the lanai. Overall it's a nice resort due to it's nice landscaping, views of the ocean and Haleakala Mt., the nice beach which was never crowded and it's quiet location being away from all the other resorts. I recommend staying here. And just as side note, this resort it's not closing down, contrary to other reports but will be undergoing renovations sometime after 2017.

So great, we stayed an extra two weeks , 14 days , Gene the manager was very helpful with our accommodations ... My mother was very happy ... Thank you Gene and the Fairmont Resort! Life memorable trip...
we loved this place and it was perfect for my family. The only negative, however is it is not great for kids as it is quite a trek from the beach to the family pool. there is a beautiful pool just steps from the beach but it is adult only.
For the most part this was a wonderful, relaxing place to stay. The grounds and common areas were not too cluttered and the rooms were large. However, it was abnormally hot and humid during our stay and our a/c gave out the day after we checked in. It maintained the room at a passably tepid temperature, but that's it. It's not really fair of me to complain about it here since we didn't notify the front desk about the problem, but it was an issue. Also the maid forgot to refresh our teas and coffees, which we didn't discover until 5:00 am when we were trying to leave for an activity. The pool concierge never returned a call I made, but I was called TWICE by the concierge trying to sell me Marriott vacation packages.
This complex is beautiful and private, yet not a far drive from all you'll want to do. Our unit had an incredible view and was decorated nicely with very modern kitchen/baths. Washer and dryer, as well as nice Weber grill were so handy. Within 5 minutes of several of Mauis best beaches.
The only negative was day 2 we started to see small roaches in the kitchen. Upon calling about it, within the hour someone was there to take care of it. Unfortunately, the following day they were back, although not as many. We called a second time, they sprayed a second time and the problem was fixed. I understand this is a tropical location, but its very hard to get it out of your mind once you've had the issue. Honestly, if we hadn't had that problem our review would be all 5 stars without hesitation!
Golf, golf, and more golf: the Wailea Golf Club’s three courses are a main attraction. Particularly, its Emerald Course is renowned for being one of the most friendly for women. Because the club is seaside, golfers can squeeze in seasonal whale watching during tee time. Shoppers can spend a few greenbacks at The Shops at Wailea, an upscale galleria with Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Tiffany & Co.
