Instead, facing full front another building ( since no blinds in the living room - no privacy at all there plus very bright in the room at night) The most annoying thing - AC was so loud it woke us up each time AC turned ON, sounded like a plane taking off. Pool staff did not take any actions when the rules of the pool (noise, diving, kids screaming their heads off) were broken. One day pool was even closed as someone pooped in the pool. With 2 big en-suite bedrooms, it was perfect for me and my wife and her brother. The condo was roomy with a big kitchen, living room and lanai. The clothes dryer was helpful for drying wet bathing suits and towels. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub at the nearby Kolea Beach Club, which provides easy access to Waikoloa beach. Kolea is close to several restaurants and a grocery store, which was handy for stocking up on food and beverages. We also swam with the dolphins at the nearby Hilton. We recommend Kolea for a vacation on the sunny side of the big island of Hawaii. ##### Bob F. My family – including two kids ages 12 and 8 – had a wonderful time at this property. It was exactly as described and pictured, and we just loved it. Also, we really appreciated the outstanding & proactive communication from the property manager. They were extremely informative and even helped us book a very cool excursion (night manta ray snorkeling - do NOT miss it!) prior to our arrival on the island. We thoroughly enjoyed it. It is 1/4 mile from the beach and the pool area is a little closer than that. Having stayed at a lot of short term rentals (and we used to own one too), we were surprised at how many rules there are and how much information there is. So much, that it conflicts with itself. For example, the rule book says you must wash all towels before you leave, but then you get another set of rules before checking out that says you must NOT wash towels before you leave.
