The Space: Check with us for the best pricing on stays of 14 days or longer! With this home comes your own private beach that is for guests of this home only. You will be able to sit and take in the beachfront views and serene sunsets. Wrap around large windows facing the water that is something you will never forget! If visiting in the colder months, there is a beautiful fireplace in the living room to keep you warm as you cozy up with your favorite book. The great room/master suite at the whole upstairs level is filled with extra-large, grand windows that span the length of the entire home. On the 2nd level, there is a large bedroom with a pull-out sofa bed, a large bathroom, and a dedicated desk for your working area. It has everything you will need for a wonderful stay providing a comfortable living space for up to 10 guests. It features: \- 1 King bed \- 3 Queen beds \- 1 Sofa bed that can be converted into a sleeping space \- New kitchen/dining area with beautiful white cabinets and an island \- Centralized air conditioning and heating for comfort throughout the year When you book a getaway with us, essential amenities including WIFI and TV are included, many of our homes also come with kayaks to keep adventure close by. You are free to explore local destinations including the vineyards for wine tasting, farm stands to support local growers, a close-knit beach community, and more nature reserves to explore. We had the beach to ourselves. The owners provided kayaks with life vests. The house was very comfortable, and the air conditioning maintained a pleasant temperature even on two excessively hot days. The SmartTV provided a nice place for us to sit and enjoy some movies. The kitchen and eating area were nicely appointed. I kept up with family laundry using the washer/dryer next to the garage. We had ample parking for our three cars. There is a superb restaurant within a short walking distance of the house. Nearby lavender farm, wineries, pick-your-own berry farms, and Tanger outlets were all within a short drive. We stayed for two weeks and returned home well-rested and happy. The owners/managers were very responsive to our questions during our stay. A beautiful waterfront home with private beach access, what more can you ask for? The check-in / check-out process was very easy and management was very responsive and pleasant to deal with. The house was comfortable and we could see the sound from the living room dining room kitchen upstairs bedroom and deck. Access to a private beach was wonderful even in the fall. The beds were comfortable but I am not sure the beds on the main floor were queen. I traveled with 7 women, many are large so we were glad no one had to share the beds on the main floor. Also not sure an outside shower constitutes a third bathroom. Other than that we loved the house and will return. If we have 10 we will make the skinny ones sleep together. ##### Toni Anne S. Apr 8, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Quick Spring Break Getaway We stayed at the Soundview Beach House for a few days as a mini-getaway during Spring Break. The location was the main draw as the house is situated right on the beach on the Sound. My two young boys love the beach, so they were beyond excited that it was right out the back door. We spent our days walking, collecting rocks, and looking for seaglass. The first day we were there, the water was crystal clear and the beach was pristine. Unfortunately, there was a huge storm that came through that caused beach erosion, flooding, and churned up the surf. We were even there for the earthquake! Even with crazy mother nature at play, the house was wonderful and the views never ceased to amaze us. The hosts couldn't have been more wonderful and communication was open and prompt. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: we had a mini family vacation (10 of us!) at this property for four nights in November 23 and it was perfect! The house was well equiped and comfortable. The beach and views were sensational. Added bonus that the dogs were able to join us. The communication with Debbie and team was great. When we arrived there was one small problem (lounge room couch was broken). A handyman arrived first thing next morning and was able to fix it. We had no further issues. Feb 11, 2020 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy #### WAS TOLD BEACH FIRES WERE OKAY BEFORE BOOKING BUT WAS TOLD THEY WERE NOT WHEN WE TRIED TO LIGHT ONE. I am a frequent flyer for the myriad of vacation rentals and I've stayed in everything from mountain cabins to city condos to beach front homes (like this one), so I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. THE GOOD: This place is probably the nicest location I've ever stayed at. The entire premises was impeccably clean and kitchen was very well appointed. There were plenty of extra linens & towels, and the beds & furniture were very comfortable. THE BAD: Before I booked this place, I specifically asked if we could light a beach fire and was enticingly told "YES"! Being the winter in NY, a fireplace was a must, as was our being able to light a beach fire as the "grand finale" for my extended family's visit. My 85 yr old mom was with us and that was the one thing she kept talking about. How she remembers lighting beach fires in Howard Beach Queens during the winters when she was growing up. So we dug a fire pit on the beach and stacked some wood next to it. Then I get a text from the manager (who I guess was watching me from one of the security cameras) telling me "fires are not allowed in the off season". Everyone was bummed out, especially my mom. I was pissed but bit my tongue as I carried the wood off the beach. Had the manager been honest and told me there was "no beach fires during the off season", I would have booked elsewhere. I felt like I was duped into booking this place which cost me a very pretty penny for three nights. THE UGLY: When we first checked in (around 8pm) the place was freezing so we cranked the heat. The next morning I get a text from the manager (who monitors the thermostat from afar) and I am told I need to cut back the thermostat so we don't run out of heating oil. I mean, really? For what I paid for this place, I should have a full tank of heating oil and be able to run the thermostat where ever it makes my family comfortable. Before we left I get another text from the manager with a photo of my truck (obviously taken from one of the homes security cameras) with a half cord of wood in the back (for the fireplace & a beach fire) telling me they were "concerned with my having so much wood". This creeped us out and made us feel like Big Brother was watching our every move. Besides that, I feel it is none of their damn business how much wood I have in the back of my truck, especially after being told to keep the thermostat at a "conservative" temperature. Would I stay here again or recommend it to a friend? Negative. ##### Thomas M.
