We walked to Rock beach regularly and to the local bakers , pub fishmongers and butchers . Close to so many beautiful Cornish beaches and landmarks . Would highly recommend and definitely hope to return . Rock beach is just stunning and dog friendly all year round … even in August sunshine there was ample space and everyone was so friendly . Located in a small complex of bungalows, it is very quiet and residential but only a short walk to the nearest pub, baker, fishmonger, general store and butcher (and the Sharpe’s brewery for a beer or tour). The house is very well equipped if you choose to self cater and the living space was comfortable for the 3 of us and two medium dogs. The garden is a good size, south facing, and secluded but due to the weather we didn’t make best use of it. Our host, Derek, was very quick to respond to questions. ##### John R. I found a couple of dog walks very close, and the beaches were we wanted were a short car journey. Prime pub and local shops easy walking distance. I think that if 8 adults had wanted to be seated in the lounge area all together that would have been a tight squeeze. The teenagers would have appreciated a bathroom bin apparently. There's a lovely back yard with outdoor furniture and BBQ. There's a line for clothes between two trees which we used a lot in the fantastic weather we had. The beds were all comfy, although we didn't use the bunk room, and having two bathrooms and a washing machine was a welcome relief for weary travellers such as ourselves. This house was in a quiet location which was fantastic for sleep. Bluntrock Brewery is a 5 minute walk away, as is the Pityme Inn. The only downside was that there was no starter pack of tea and coffee etc in the kitchen and only one and a half rolls of toilet paper between 2 bathrooms. Well equipped kitchen and nice patio and grass area with gas BBQ. Pleasant lounge /kitchen for cooler evenings as weather stopped us sitting out later.
