Slowly disappearing 😞 ##### Caroline Stayed 2 nights in Oct 2025 ### 8/10 Good #### Toshi Aug 18, 2020 Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities スリランカで過ごす最後のリゾートとして、カルタラにあるロイヤルパームズビーチホテルに宿泊しました。 ホテルはリゾート感が溢れるいいホテルだと思いました。ホテルに到着して部屋に浴槽が無かったこともあり、再度フロントに出向いて、浴槽のある部屋に変更してもらいました。従業員の方々も快く申し出を受けてくれました。 このホテルに２泊しましたが、カルタラ自体はあまり観光スポットもなく、ホテルのみでのんびり過ごすことが目的でした。 海岸は波がかなり荒く、海での遊泳には向いていませんでしたが、プールサイドのみでも十分くつろげました。 今は、コロナの影響で観光客も非常に少なく、ホテルの周りのレストラン、土産物屋もほとんど開いていませんでした。 また、土曜日は宿泊客も多かったのですが、日曜日はほとんどだれもおらず、閑散とした感じになっていました。特に月曜日の朝の朝食はビュッフェスタイルではなく、ホテル内のレストランで注文して食べるスタイルでした。 ホテルの設備は多少古さは感じますが、お湯の出もよく不便なところはありませんでした。 ただ一つ気になったのは、宿泊客も少ないためかもしれませんが、夜の１０：３０頃に確認の電話がありました。寝ているところを確認の電話でたたき起こされてしまいました。確認の電話はもう少し早い時間にしてもらいたいものです。 ##### Toshi Stayed 2 nights in Aug 2020 ### 8/10 Good #### Jessica Mar 5, 2020 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort Grand complexe confortable avec toutes les infrastructures, manque un peu de charme. They do hound you a little in the mornings for room service so don't expect a lay in at this place! The food was really good, bar slightly over priced so all inclusive would be worth it if you intend to spend most of your time at the hotel. We tended to eat out everyday and if you want real Sri lankan food with a smile go to Kamals cafe 2mins walk out of the hotel over the train track. Really nice man and great chef. You can get a feast for less than £4 normally from him! The breakfast was extensive with loads to choose from! The pool was clean and very big, becareful on the beach as you will get harassed from the locals as they try to steal business from the hotel guests. Just say not interested and walk away asap. Großer Pool und Zimmer. Sauber war es schon, allerdings mit ein paar Abstrichen. Housekeeping kam Abends sogar noch mal um nach dem rechten zu sehen und Kleinigkeiten (Mülleimer leeren,Handtücher aufhängen...) tu erledigen. Die meisten Angestellten waren sehr freundlich. An der Rezeption könnte man allerdings etwas freundlicher sein. We didn’t like Slow service in all restaurants / bars (but didn’t use Japanese restaurant so can’t say) . Large amounts of mould in our bathroom and the permanent smell of damp in the room. The chef Neerl made us a cheese and onion toastie his first time which was kind and not on the menu. We booked a sea view but got a pool view but couldn’t move us as they said they were fully booked ! That was it! We travelled with 4y/o kid and loved there so much. Their hotel is not flash new one, but well maintained. Pool is so much fun.
