The whole family will feel at home in this natural red house on a large natural plot within walking distance of the lake and a relatively short distance from the town of Vrigstad. Plan your evening excursions by candlelight and sit on the stone steps with a cup of coffee in your hand and listen to the birdsong in the morning. The surroundings are also perfect for a morning run. Later you can go to the beautiful fishing lake.



Hike in the Gåeryd rasbranter nature reserve and cycle around the lake. Here you can follow the 60 km long Rusken Runt cycle path, which takes you through impressive and beautiful nature. The holiday resort, Nydala, has an exciting history. Nydala Monastery was founded in 1143 by Cistercian monks sent from Clairvaux Abbey in France and is today one of the oldest Cistercian monasteries in Sweden. It was built of stone and it took about 100 years to complete the central parts of the monastery. The local museum, Nydala hembygdsmuseum, is also worth a visit and in Vrigstad Älgpark you can experience the majestic moose up close. Explore the many lakes and watch birds in Lundholmen.
