"A rustic farmhouse which was conveniently located on the island. Our hosts could not have been nicer or more accomodating. We recommend this property but perhaps not for an elderly couple as the stairs are quite steep to the second floor. We plan to come back when we return to MV."
"Kathie is an amazing host. They’ve thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. The space was perfect for a mother daughter vacation with room for hosting. The outdoor spaces on their property are a really nice bonus. Plus we loved being mid island to reach up island and downtown VH and OB."

"We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house immensely. We woke each morning to beautiful flowers and birdsong. The house is lovely, spacious and comfortable. We loved cooking in the large, light-filled kitchen, and there were multiple different dining locations - inside and out. Thanks to Sam for making sure we had everything we needed."
"Beautiful property and location, right at the start of shopping area in vineyard haven. Parking included so no worries. Also close to ferry, car and bike rental. The staff is very courteous and helpful. If you are lucky and get a room on 3rd or 4th floor you get a nice view of the town too. Our room had a balcony, a wonderful addition to the rooms. Will definitely stay here again unless we go to oaks bluff"
"This place is so charming. The staff is excellent. Easy access to the main attractions, but in a more secluded area. Highly recommend a stay here. Make sure you research the Ferry schedule."
"If you want a quaint, MV type motel, this is the place! It is adorable. We had a great view of the harbor and all the activities! The room was small but super clean and comfortable. Everything was pristine.
There are great food options nearby. We ate at the Black Dog Bakery, ArtCliff Diner (great breakfast) and the Net Result. All served great food. The bus terminal is really close by for any transportation needs. Would definitely stay again!"

"Best hotel on our US trip! Friendly, fun and beautiful resort. Only issue was no lift so difficult for mother in law to climb the stairs to forth floor! Excellent coffee station outside our room"
"Hotel was the best location you could dream of. Walking distance from the ferry and bus stops, walking location, to the beach, dining and shopping districts. The park ,boardwalk and beaches were relatively close as well. The staff was very professional and helpful. 🌷They were beyond nice. The hotel is also very clean. The coffee in the lobby is the best way to start the day. We are very happy and will be back soon."

"The team at the Faraway is incredible. Every single person we encountered was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond. The room was much larger than we anticipated and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. Can’t wait to go back and be able to spend more time there! "
