Ideal for a stay in the Show Me state, the Hound Haus hosts business travelers, solo travelers, dog show competitors, and couples looking to enjoy the greater St. Louis area. The home comes with a large TV, Blueray player, games, fully equipped kitchen, linens and towels, WIFI, and the most adorable bistro set on the balcony. THE SPACE The Hound Haus has an open living, dining, and kitchen area, and a queen sized bed upstairs. Full bathroom located past the kitchen. Only 331 sq. ft. total, it is truly a tiny house! Only 10 minutes to the Purina Events Center, the Hound Haus is popular with guests competing at events held throughout the year. THE BEDROOM With crisp white linens and a deliciously comfortable bed, your sleep is high priority at the Hound Haus. Open the creamy white curtains to let sunshine stream in while stepping out onto the balcony to enjoy fresh, country air. PEACEFUL RETREAT The Hound Haus was created as a retreat of peace and relaxation while you are in the area. Whether you are here for business, exploring Missouri parks and wine country, biking the Katy Trail, or visiting family for a wedding or holiday, the Hound Haus will be your place to rejuvenate. LIVING AREA The living area features an incredibly gorgeous area rug that you want to dig your toes into when you sit back to catch up on your Netflix series. The Roku smart TV has streaming as well as Dish Sling, YouTube, Spotify, and more. \*Note that you will need to have your own Netflix, Hulu, Dish. etc. accounts to access those features as we do not share our accounts with you.\* KITCHEN Fully equipped with stove, refrigerator, and microwave as well as several small appliances that you can't live without (i.e. Keurig, regular coffeemaker, teapot). The Hound Haus is equipped with white place settings, solid flatware, and sleek glassware, as well as wine glasses for relaxing. BATHROOM The clean, well lit bathroom just off the kitchen features a large mirror. Plush towels await you when you step out of the shower. FRONT PORCH AND YARD A newly landscaped front walk and front porch welcome you to enjoy a cup of morning coffee or relax in the evening with local beer or wine while Fido plays in the yard. PETS A small dog is welcome to come with you, but only with prior approval. Please note that the county requires that you keep your dog on a leash outside and clean up the poo. There is a $25/night rate plus tax. The dog rate applies to ALL dogs on property, even those you choose not to bring inside the home. I was showing my dog at Purina Farms, so I chose to stay in Villa Ridge. Even though the house is close to the conveniences of the city, it feels like you’re staying at a country house. The grounds are immaculately kept, and there’s enough green space between the other houses on the property for it to feel private. There was enough space to take a good walk with my dog, and at night, so many stars to gaze at from the balcony. The house itself though small, is homey and well appointed and thoughtfully decorated: tiny but tidy. Like all Missouri Haus properties, it was spotless when I arrived, with crisp, white linens on the bed, and thick, fluffy towels. The online guidebook prepared me for the space so that I knew how it was laid out ( bedroom upstairs, everything else downstairs) and what I would need to pack. This place was perfect. Just enough space for a lone traveler. Would also work for a couple, although the loft had low ceilings so anybody with any height needs to be careful. Steps to loft are steep and narrow, but the bed/bedding was top notch. I stayed in July and the window AC units easily kept up/kept the place super cool. Really the only issue I had was there were a bunch of flies in the bathroom and kitchen that were annoying. The couch is extremely uncomfortable. You can easily feel bars through the cushions, I'm guessing it's a foldout couch. We used extra pillows to sit on for extra padding. Great amenities, nice full size fridge. Mini stove, but everything you need if you want to eat in a night or two. I will warn you the mildew smell is pretty strong and we're not terribly sensitive to that. We had to set our bags out on the back porch for a day or two to air them out after we unpacked, as it stuck to them and our clothes. Overall, a good price for a weekend away in a cute little location. Just be aware of those few details. ##### Jen S. A few things that could be improved: (1) The interior had a bit of a mildew smell upon arrival, but we were able to correct this with some fragrant candles. (2) The location was very buggy, and this was likely the cause of the interior being a bit buggy. In particular, tiny flying moths seemed to be additional guests inside the home. This might also be attributable to the time of year (September). (3) The underside/bottom of the tub/shower insert seemed like it had collapsed and was very loose and squishy under our feet when taking a shower. Other than these few issues, the home was perfect for our stay, and we would probably book it again. ##### Marc P.
