The cabin was not damaged during the hurricane. If you are in need of temporary housing please reach out. We discount long term stays! An upscale mountain retreat awaits you at this private 3-bedroom cabin built in 2019 and updated with modern amenities. Its convenient location means you are just a short drive to multiple ski resorts and other attractions. All the rooms boast comfortable mattresses, luxurious linens, plush pillows, and warm lighting to encourage hours of undisturbed sleep. There are two king suites, both of which are outfitted with ensuite bathrooms with large walk-in showers. One king suite offers access through sliding doors to the balcony, while the other is in the loft with a well-lit office nook that is perfect for working from home. The third bedroom features a full bed and an ensuite bathroom with a shower/tub combo. KITCHEN & LIVING ROOM The open floor plan of the kitchen and living room makes it easy to hang out as one large group. This area features large floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the room with natural light and showcase beautiful views. The kitchen is complete with new Whirlpool electronics and is stocked with pots/pans, flatware, grilling utensils, measuring cups, cookie sheets, cutting boards, can openers, a toaster, and an instant pot. We also provide a Keurig with k-cups and a drip coffee maker (We do not provide any coffee for the drip coffee maker). You can enjoy your home cooked meals at the kitchen counter (seating for two) or at the kitchen table overlooking the forest (seating for four). The large living room has a comfortable sofa, a chair, and a 55” Smart TV. You are welcome to sign in and use any of your personal streaming accounts during your stay. OUTSIDE SPACE The living room leads to the covered deck and is perfect for cozying up with a good book or enjoying happy hour with loved ones. On the deck, you will find outdoor furniture, a Char-Broil American Gourmet grill, and stunning views of the forest surrounding the property. There is also a fire pit with string lights and Adirondack chairs, perfect for enjoying evenings and the beautiful night sky. On the balcony you will find a five-person Strong Spa hot tub! The hot tub is conveniently located on the covered deck outside the master bedroom so guests can soak any time day or night. Guest Access: You will have private access to the whole house, including the outdoor space. Since the cabin is in the mountains, we recommend all-wheel or four-wheel drive to get up the well maintained but steep gravel driveway. The house is on a quiet mountain street with a private driveway. The Vilas area is a beautiful place to visit during every season. For those interested in visiting in the winter, Vilas rarely gets more than 1.5” of snow and often clears by midday. However, since the driveway is north facing, it receives less sun, so we highly recommend all-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicles in all seasons. For those interested in working remotely, the cabin has great cell phone service and WiFi throughout the house. The upstairs desk and kitchen table are great spots to work from home. If you are traveling with small children, we provide one pack n play located in the main bedroom closet. We allow guests to bring up to two dogs. We charge a one-time pet fee of $50 per dog. We also provide one large dog crate that is kept in the downstairs master closet if you need to leave your dog home alone. Please put your dog in a crate if you plan to leave him unattended at the cabin. Great communication with the owners, had an issue with the hot tub and they coordinated with the mechanic to get it fixed during our stay. We were able to schedule a weekly meal kit delivery and so we appreciated having a well supplied kitchen for dinnerware/utensils/spices/etc and cleaning products. Comfy beds! Smart TVs in all the bedrooms and living room. The driveway is quite steep and bumpy in certain spots, would recommend AWD as stated in the property listing. ##### Kayla H. It was quiet and secluded, yet convenient to drive to Boone and Blowing Rock for hiking, lunch, and dinner. The cabin had so many wonderful amenities - we loved the hot tub on the deck, the towels and linens were luxurious, and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. We really appreciate you supplying a crate - it was a delightful convenience that we didn't have to keep loading/unloading our personal crate from the truck. We enjoyed hiking, biking, and relaxing in the hot tub. The TV and Wifi as well as all appliances worked perfectly. We ate lunch and dinner out - and would highly recommend Bald Guy Brewing for coffee, Booneshine, Lost Province, Basil's, The Beacon, Six Pence Pub, The Gamekeeper, and AMB. The home was very clean and every item we needed was provided. The dog crate was very large and accommodated the grandparents pet nicely. The hosts had excellent communication. The gravel driveway is steep but not dangerous, we had no problems even after it lightly snowed. Checkin process was flawless. The cabin was spotlessly clean. Beds are very comfortable with multiple pillow options. We love that each room has an attached bathroom for convenience. Kitchen was well stocked and had all the basics that we needed (even s’more roasting sticks for the fire pit) Definitely a bonus to visit in December to enjoy the Christmas tree and lights on the banister! ##### Alisha A.
