Beautiful Manor House, with 400m2, very private, also extremely well located for excursions both up and down the Costa Verde being about 120km from Spain and 20km from Oporto. If you like dining beside the River Douro at Ribeira, 20 minutes it's how long it takes once you get use to the roads. Outside there is a 10 x 5m swimming pool, toilet, shower and a large covered sitting area, which is useful during peak sun hours where you can enjoy your meals and watch the kids in the pool. If you prefer the beach, Praia D'AREIA is only 2km down the road where you also find small shops, restaurants and supermarket. Bigger supermarkets, restaurants, boutiques etc are available 5km in the town of Vila do Conde, including the famous 'MARKET' on Friday morning. The grounds with 10000m2 are ideal and safe for children to run around. There are also orange, lemon and fruit trees in the garden from which, subject to season, you can help yourself and make lovely juices. Please note that prices are based on 10 people, extra charge of €175pw per person upto 5 and open loft room, under 3 are free. The central heating is charged separately at €180 per week.
TRANSFERS AND CATERING SERVICE AVAILABLE ON REQUEST, PLEASE ASK.
WE CAN ARRANGE FOR SURF LESSONS IN THE AREA: €40 pp. The class includes 2 hours of surfing, with all material included (suit and board), and transport by car from the accommodation to the beach.We also can arrange for a wine taste experience in Porto with tapas €45 per person. Includes Tasting of 3 White, 3 Red and 3 Port Wines with Typical Tapas.
We now have the METRO near us which can take you to various places, Airport, Vila do Conde, Porto city, and the F.C.Porto stadium Estadio do Dragao. The nearest station is VARZIELA or ARVORE or Line B ( red line) and it's 10min walk from the house.

Wonderful stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very attentive hosts, fabulous location and we really appreciated the refreshing pool to dip into, particularly after a days exploring. Everything we needed was to hand and the villa is SO spacious and also cool inside which we appreciated in the heat. Would highly recommend this property.

Amazing place

Really lovely house and surroundings! Clean house, pool and well kept garden. Great owner who helped us with transfer to and from the airport and whom had served a really nice welcome course for us, which was really perfect since we arrived late. We rented cars a couple of days and the rest of the time we just took the metro, which was only 10 min away. We was 15 people (between the age 1 and 70) and there was plenty of space for all of us. Thank you Ana!

Villa near Porto

The Villa is very spacious, the photos accurately depict the space and you will find all the amenities you need to make your stay enjoyable, pool, hot tub BBQ and many more. There is a metro station a short walk away too. Great for large groups!

Perfect vila and amazing host

This trip was perfect, The villa was clean and as expected with the pictures. Ana did organise for us the airport transfert and push us activities to do. Once at the villa Joao welcome us with fresh beer, fruits, porto and cheese. He also drove us to the grocery store two time. What an amazing hospitality, we're going back to France with a really great esteem for Portugal. Thanks again !

Family trip

Really enjoyed our family visit to the villa for a week in June. The property was a lovely traditional villa with so much space and facilities indoor and out. With the great weather most days it was the ideal location for a get together and a shared family celebration. The beach and Villa do conde were both within walking distance and with Ubers so easy and cheap to take we could have managed without our own transport. Ana was so helpful with emails and communication prior to our visit and João couldn't have been more welcoming and responsive when we had a small issue and with the first night supplies we were well set up for our visit. Thanks so much for making our big family meet up so successful!

It is an ideal setting for a multi generational group of friends/family. The grounds were beautifully kept, there were plenty of games for the children. The pool was very clean and a good size. Joao was there to meet us on arrival and the port and cake was a lovely touch.

We had a super stay. The Villa is superb and well equipped. The grounds are huge! Our hosts could not have done more for us. The Villa itself is about 20 mins away from Porto. You need a car here. But if you fancy leaving it behind, an Uber costs around €16 each way into Porto. The pool is great and refreshing rather than hot. All the bedrooms are fantastic, all 12 of us were very comfortable. Thank you Joao for being so lovely and engaging with us. The weather cools off a lot in the eve so maybe bring a cardi! Thanks for everything!

Beautiful property. Phenomenal grounds

11 of us stayed as two families, with kids ranging between 13 and 7. We were so impressed with the sheer size of the property and the grounds. It was so spacious and immaculate. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything that you could possibly need. There were so many things to do around the villa, whether it was the pool, table tennis, table football, badminton or playing football, that no-one was ever bored. We ate in the villa most days, but got Ubers into Vila do Conde and Povoa de Varzim when we went to restaurants. We didn’t hire a car because Ubers are so cheap over there. They are half the price of the UK. We had a day trip to Porto via the metro, which is only a 5 minute walk away. We arranged larger food deliveries with Pingo Doce and Continente and for smaller orders, we used Ubereats, which would deliver from the local supermarket. We loved our stay, thank you and we would love to return again.

Great House

This is a big well maintained house with loads of space inside and out. Great pool and garden. The laundry room is a real bonus. Everything is well designed and set up for a large group. Some of the beds were a bit hard but that’s better than too soft! To suit our drinking we added large red wine and fizz glasses to the house stock. Two excellent local bakeries and a little supermarket nearby. Beach walkable for the youngsters. Metro handy and great for access to Porto. We had a great holiday.

Friends and family get away

We visited with friends, as two families of five. We had a broad range of children aged from 2 to 18 and there was plenty of space for us all to stay in comfort. The photos don’t do the pool and grounds justice, it was even better than we had expected! We didn’t hire a car but you do need a vehicle to get around. The metro is excellent and only a ten minute walk away and it’s very easy to get around by taxi with Uber. The beaches are excellent with fantastic surf. Don’t forget your wetsuit as it is the Atlantic! It is a family owned property and the help we received in planning our trip was exceptional. The welcome gifts provided us with a taste of Portugal and were a sign of the warmth of hospitality that we received throughout our trip.

Great family Gathering

We had a wonderful stay at the property. Ana and her family were very accommodating and communication was great! Food and drinks greeted us at the property!! All needs were catered for and the images online do not do the property justice - far better. So spacious and full of amenities/equipment. The garden and pool were just wonderful with fruit trees in the orchard which can be picked if in season. Lovely south facing garden. The table tennis was a great hit too and the smart TV very useful for the evenings. Near to two metro lines. Beach about a 30 minute walk with some small supermarkets along the way. Went into Porto one day and into Povoa de Varzim at the end of the line another day. To see further afield a car would be useful. Thank you Ana

The surroundings of the house were really beautiful with the play area and swimming pool. There was a lot to do. We were received well and kindly. There was a little bit improvement, cooking equipment, especially the pans, were in poor condition. Talon ympäristö oli todella kaunis pelialueineen ja uima-altaineen. Great Family Holiday 29th July

We absolutely loved our stay 29th July-5th Aug. We were a family of 8 - 5 adults and 3 kids. The Villa had everything you could need. The welcome from Joao was perfect and he even took the blokes to the local shop so we could get our essentials even though our flight had already been delayed. The welcome hamper was awesome and the hosts really do go above and beyond. We had fantastic days in the pool and awesome meals out in the local area and further a field. I would recommend hiring a car if you are considering it. We didn’t have a car and the local village was walkable and the metro was easy to get to but the local roads have narrow footpaths. Hiring a car definitely isn’t essential and we had a fabulous time without one. We used a Uber a couple of times and it was cheap to do. My mum has had a knee replacement so on the odd occasion we ubered instead of walked. We would recommend going to the local bakery (every morning for breakfast! Just around the corner), visit the local village, visit Vila do conde and visit Porto. We ate at some lovely places but our last night we went to Guia in Vila do conde. The meal probably cost the same amount as the rest of the week (food prices are really really reasonable) but it was worth it for the view and great food. The best bit of the whole holiday was definitely chilling by the pool and watching the kids play in the spectacular grounds. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Amazing villa n Hosts A*****

The villa and gardens are huge, the photos definatly dont do it justice, there is SO much room for everyone. The bedrooms were all a good size, there was a lounge area which we only used once as we spent all our time outside in the seating area, there is a more formal sitting/dining room which we didnt use, we kept the doors closed as was not needed for our party. Kitchen was a good size with dishwasher. The Hosts had left beers, snacks etc in the fridge which was really nice but walking into the kitchen to a lovely Portuguese cake and biscuits plus bottle of wine and fruits bowl was the most amazing gesture and very kind. The Host offered to take us food shopping in his car, which we was grateful for, how nice of him to offer tho :) Ping pong table was the highlight of the evenings with competitions each night!! Swimming pool was used alot but very cold when you first get in, kids didnt feel the cold as much as the adults. We had some cloudy days which didnt help. We wanted a BBQ on the 2nd night and i couldnt get it to work and messaged the Host who said the small gas bottle had probably ran out and said we needed to purchase one, an hour or so later the Host arrived with a new gas bottle, the Host literally goes above and beyond to help. Only downfall was there was nothing walkable except a yummy bakery, we didnt find any restaurants to eat in so used Uber eats alot, McDs was nice and quick! We did get uber taxi to Lidl a few times for shopping. AMAZING break had by all!

Amazing Villa

4 groups of friends, 15 of us altogether and we all had the best time. Ana and her brother went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. From arranging the airport transfers, to stocking up the fridge for our late arrival, to including a baby gate so our little ones were safe, we couldn’t have asked for better hosts. The villa itself is amazing. As others have said, the pictures just don’t do it justice. It’s incredible. We never felt like we were under each others feet as there was so much space. The outdoor space gets the biggest thumbs up though. Pool, ping pong, football table, hot tub, inflatables, they had everything you could think of. The area is very quiet and residential. The metro is within walking distance, the nearest shop is about a 15 minute walk, and the beach is about a 20 minute walk (unless you have 7 kids with you like we did, in which case it’ll take a good 45 minutes including an ice cream stop!) but Uber is available - which we only thought to use on the second to last day - so if it’s hot, we’d advise using one to get back to the villa. It’s really cheap. We also enquired about getting a catering company in one night to cook for us. Ana recommended her friends Armanda and Manuel. They cooked the most amazing Portuguese BBQ for us. We would highly recommended hiring them. Such wonderful people and amazing chefs! Thank you Ana, you are a great host and we will definitely book the villa again!

Lieu de séjour idéal pour un rassemblement familial

Maison sur un grand terrain plat, aménagé avec piscine et jeux de plein air. Wonderful villa with a really huge garden

The wonderful old villa is a perfect place to relax, to visit Porto and to go to the nearby beaches. The metro station is just 600 m or so away, what makes it convenient to go to Porto. The kitchen is well equipped and the very hospitable hosts even provided some food and a bottle of port wine on the arrival day.

Tägliche Kontrolle und schlechte Betten - sonst gut :-)

Wir waren mit unserem Männer-Stammtisch von 9 Personen dort. Gute Lage für ein Wochenende, nah am Flughafen und nah an Porto für einen Cityausflug. Die Betten sind ca. 1,80 groß, die Matratzen wahnsinnig hart und auch Kissen und Decke nicht sehr komfortabel. Am Samstag kamen um 10 Uhr noch die Gärtner. Wir wollten uns an den Pool liegen aber der war dann eben 2 Stunden belegt inkl. Rasenmäher-Geräusche etc. Das fand ich nicht so toll. Zusätzlich war der Eigentümer täglich bei uns auf eine "unauffällige" Stippvisite. Er war nett und hat seine Hilfe angeboten, aber man merkte schnell das es doch eher Kontrollbesuche waren. Alles in allem aber empfehlenswert und bei einer 9-Männer-Truppe die offensichtlich zum ausgelassenen Feiern dort sind, vielleicht auch durchaus verständlich das man da 2 mal hinguckt ;-) Bessere Betten in denen man ggf. auch mal halbwegs nüchtern schlafen kann wären schon gut. Aber Anwesen ist super, Gelände riesig, Pool ist toll inkl. Spielzeug und auch der Whirlpool war sehr wohltuend.

Great place for a group

We were 3 families with children aged between 3 and 7 and we had a fantastic time. The property had everything we needed and we were kept well entertained with the lovely pool, table tennis and gardens. The host was very friendly and helpful and took us on a tour to see the local area and made some great recommendations. The welcome platter was also a very kind and welcome gesture! I would highly recommend this villa.

Wonderful family holiday

The villa was stunning, well maintained and within easy walking distance of shops, metro and beach. At the villa we made good use of the facilities provided - swimming pool, table tennis and badminton. We were also able to pick some oranges and lemons from the fruit trees in the grounds. On arrival the host made sure we were settled in, introduced us to the local area and even provided a welcome gift of melon, meat&cheese platter and some port! Highly recommend for family holidays.

Home sweet home

Nous avons passé un moment familial très agréable . La maison est grande et est très acceuillante. Elle nous donne la sensation très rapidement d'être comme à la maison. Les hôtes sont à la fois présents et très discrets. Malgré le passage des avions cette maison permet vraiment de déconnecter et de se ressourcer. Merci aux hôtes......
