Alsergrund, Vienna’s 9th District, is often referred to as the Academic Quarter of Vienna. While the University of Vienna is nearby, it also houses many nearby hospitals and clinics, making it a place of scholarly intent. Alsergrund is also the birthplace of Sigmund Freud, and you can visit the eponymous Freud Museum - once his home - while here. Alsergrund is also the home of Liechtenstein Palace, which houses the Museum of Modern Art, and more. A security deposit of €2160 is required at booking, which will be returned within 2-4 weeks after the check-out, minus any deductible damages.
