Scenery and Serenity - Delight in your holiday retreat

Are you interested in a peaceful place with fabulous views to retreat to after the bustle of the city? Great location near Esquimalt Lagoon and Royal Bay seaside parks, Pearson College of the Pacific, Royal Roads University, Galloping Goose hiking and biking trail, as well as many shopping opportunities from box stores to quaint neighbourhood bistros. Downtown Victoria is accessible by bus or car in an easy 30 minute drive and the bus stop is a short walk away. Many sports opportunities are available from fishing (lake or ocean), golfing (Royal Colwood and Olympic View Golf Clubs are 5 minutes away, Highland Pacific and Bear Mountain Golf Resort are 15 minutes away), as well as hiking and biking. The community is home to many Canadian sports development centres - tennis, golf, rugby, biking, rowing to name a few.

All the comforts of home are available with a well equipped kitchen with BBQ available, as well as washer and dryer and dishwasher, cable TV and a dedicated study area for any school or work related commitments. Bright sunny rooms with 9 foot ceilings and expansive windows give a marvelous view over the water to Victoria. Please no smoking and no pets in the suite or on the premises.

We had a wonderful time in Ruth’s suite. It had everything we needed. The place is spacious, bright and comfortable. The view is spectacular. Ruth was a nice host, thoughtful with many little attentions. We would be happy to come again and recommend it without hesitation.

Loved our stay at this apartment. It is huge. Great kitchen, laundry, and living space. Beautiful view. It is about a 30 minute drive into Victoria but can be a bit longer coming home in the afternoon. I would highly recommend this apartment and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Very large space super clean, everything you need is supplied. Soaps, coffee, laundry soap. The mornings are very bright as there are no curtains, but that view...stunning! The large bed was super soft to sleep on. The smaller one was not. Could not have asked for a better host, amazing communication! I wish we could have stayed longer.

Great place for an extended stay. The suite is quiet large. The kitchen is large and well equiped for self catering. Plenty of towels and linens. Great location. The view is amazing from the kitchen, livingroom and master bedroom. We enjoyed watching the sunrise over Victoria harbour. It was also great to have a washer and dryer as we stayed for 11 days. Ruth told us to enjoy fresh tomatoes from the garden which we did each evening we made salad for dinner.Yummy.

Ruth’s suite exceeded our expectations. It was bright, clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The location was perfect as it was close to Pearson College UWC and the view was amazing. We loved waking up every morning to the beautiful sunrise and having a glass of wine on the patio in the evening while watching the cruise ships leaving the Victoria harbor. We look forward to staying again next year.

This was an amazing stay. The apartment was clean and beautiful. It was a nice quiet area, about 25 mins to victoria. it was a great place to explore the island. i only met the owner once, but she seemed very kind and friendly.

The perfect place

This was larger than expected, very clean, with a lot of amenities. communication was great and very friendly. The view was beautiful, we enjoyed watching the hummingbirds in the flowers. We would love to stay here again when we’re visiting the area. And personal touches made us feel very special.

Host was very attentive and helpful when asked.The space is like a small house/apt and self sufficient. Loved the windows but you don't get a lot of privacy except the master. The bath is visible from great room, as the great room does not have any window coverings, not even electric blinds (which would be useful with the hot/warm morning summer sun).Don't use WAZE to get anywhere from the property, it didn't play nice and took us way out of our way a couple of times, costing us time. We had a comfortable stay and I liked the desk area and the kitchen!!Thank you.

Beautiful view!

I had a great stay at Ruth's! This is a spacious suite with a beautiful view! I loved the thoughtful gift basket with Ruth's own homemade goodies plus wine. I did see Ruth in passing but not long enough for a proper conversation. Minimal to no noise transfer and always perfect quiet times for sleep. I did notice a few spiders but there were insect traps in all corners. The kitchen is fully stocked and there is extra bedding, towels and blankets if needed. There was a second bedroom with a single bed that I did not need or use. This vrbo is excellent and I would recommend it!
