The ruins have been renovated beautiful shower with great pressure and hot! Very friendly check in and staff offering to help carry etc. Able to have our dog! Great restaurant Floyd’s attached with good food and great staff as well.

Rooms were finished well and comfortable. My room had a sliding glass door overlooking the pool. The lock on the sliding door didn't really work. The sliding door only had a rolling blind, so it either had to be open (no privacy) or closed (no daylight). The lobby was overlit - too much lighting. There was a nice games room with a big tv, ping pong table and a popcorn machine that made good popcorn. There was a breakfast restaurant independently run (I think) adjacent to the hotel which was average and over-priced (but everything is overpriced in Victoria, right).

i love it there!!! staff is very friendly and the bathroom mirror is absolutely beautiful. it's ver minimalist and space is awesome and fit perfectly for us 3. i'd recommend this hotel to anyone!! 10 mins away from everywhere in downtown and all the advanced tech in the room❤️❤️

Room very clean and very comfortable. Service from staff is equal to any 5 Star Resort. Have stayed past year twice. And will stay again. Reno’s seemed to be on track. Great upgrade to Restaurant.

I was asked to pay 20 dollars more because I have a dog. I did disclose the dog info when I booked the hotel. and the fee I paid to Expedia should include the pet. Moreover, Expedia didn't tell me that I need to pay more for dog when I checked in. not feel good about this. where / why it was disconnected.

Good value and location, comfy beds and the shower is fantastic. I always request the back side where it’s quiet (there is some pool noise). Great amenities and typically easy parking (note: there is only ONE handicap parking spot and it’s at the back of the hotel. That’s poor.)

Great stay here. Kids loved the games room. Very friendly staff. Clean room. Spacious. Very quiet(except when they were testing the fire alarm in the afternoon which we knew ahead of time). Can’t hear the neighbours. Got upgraded to a suite for free. Liquor store and restaurant in the building

It was an old building that had the old building smell. Bed was comfy, rooms smelled a lot. Had to buy febreeze and candles. More attention to detail would make the renovation better.

The property itself is fine, only one elevator - with no indication of it is going up or down. Staircases don’t all go to all floors. A/C doesn’t work great. The area itself doesn’t have much close by so plan to drive most places. It would be great if the restaurant had longer hours.

I had an amazing stay at the vic. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable.The staff are super friendly and helpful. Having a diner next door and a bar below is also very convenient. And it’s only a short drive to all the attractions in Victoria. Would highly recommend!!

An old hotel that has undergone a lot of renovations, the room we were in was very nice and modern, other common areas still need some work. Very good value for the $$.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. This is an older place that has been updated, but they did an excellent job with renovating. The ahower was awesome and the beds are comfortable. Room was very clean. Great place to stay, and only 5 minute drive to downtown Victoria.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in March from Ontario. It is a fantastic hidden gem - it has been all redone to a retrofit theme, and is very clean with lots of space. The game room in the lobby even has popcorn! The desk manager was SO nice, very helpful, & made us feel like friends instead of guests. He always made sure we had whatever we neeeded. The diner attached called FLOYDS was a bonus, with lots of old pictures etc, and wonderful food! We would definitely stay here again!

This was my first stay at this property and it won't be my last. It was a wonderful experience, from check in to check out. The staff was very friendly, taking the time to show me around the facilities (that has never happened at any other hotel I've stayed at). It's great value, with all the amenities I could need within the property - clean, quiet rooms, Floyd's Diner (one of my favourite Victoria restaurants), Heckler's Bar, the "Inspiration Lounge" with games & complimentary popcorn. Made a great weekend even better - Thank you.

I booked two small rooms as i had brought my and my partners children with me. They upgraded both rooms to suites which made it so much easier for me as I had work to take care of while I was there. They have upgraded me both times I’ve been there and have treated me so well. I’ll be back again
