We enjoyed our stay at the Rialto. The rooms were modern & clean. The staff was wonderful & willing to keep our bags before check in & after check out which allowed us to optimize our time in Victoria without lugging around packs. It was easy to navigate to and from the downtown core from this hotel.

The service and the staff were excellent. The hotel is located near the historical Chinatown and good food places. I would have liked to have the secured parking and the fitness centre within the same building as the accommodation.

Our first time to Victoria with our teenage daughter. Only stayed one night, so the central location was key to exploring all we could in such a short amount of time. The staff was welcoming, helpful and friendly. The queen beds were comfortable and the pillows were the fluffiest I’ve ever encountered while traveling. The shower is small but not tiny.

I like that it's close to the bus that goes to Butchart Gardens and Downtown. It is also easily walkable to Chinatown and the shopping areas. The room was comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was in a terrible part of town. The 'tent city' of homelessness was one block away. Rialto didn't have any space left in their parking garage when we checked in and directed us to a carport nearby. The carport lot was next to the 'tent city'. We parked the car in the lot but were afraid that the car would be vandalized. So we moved to street parking. The Rialto Hotel itself was clean. The room was clean and comfortable although the bathroom towels were not fluffy and the shower didn't have a wand. For $250/night, I expect fluffy towels. I would never stay at the Rialto again as a result of its location in town. I did not see a single negative review for this hotel when researching. I paid $466 to feel unsafe for two nights.

Guests are also given other options for parking if they decide to not use our parkade. There is metered street parking from 8am-8pm, then free from 8pm-8am. The property was just fine. Our room was ok, but it was on the smaller side, which was fine but there was no view, except the brick wall opposite. Having said that, everything was clean, & tidy. The staff were very helpful & friendly. Overall it was a positive experience. The only downside is the neighbourhood around the hotel had a number of social issues outside of the ownership’s control. I would say it was more positive than not and I would stay again.

This property was great for the two nights we stayed. We had to phone and ask a couple of times for extra supplies as there wasn’t many left in the room for us. When we checked in they gave us some great recommendations of places to eat which is very nice to know.
