Welcome to your home away from home, 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, self-contained suite with private entry. Feel on top of the world while you bask in the sun amongst the tree tops on the extended decks.

A full kitchen, private laundry, digital cable, wireless internet, all the amenities of home and much much more. Beautiful decks, an inviting fireplace, a big screen t.v. and a large outdoor shared hot tub it won't be hard to relax and enjoy yourself. (Note, we no longer have a pool on the property and are dealing with VRBO as there is an issue with removing the photo of the pool).

And when you feel like picking up the pace, you are less than a 10 minute drive to the heart of downtown Victoria. You are also just minutes from beautiful beaches, parks, trails, golfing, shopping, dining, transit and more. Come and enjoy your home away from home.

Victoria stay
The house was nice and adequate for our family of 7. We enjoyed using the kitchen to cook our meals and the wrap around deck was great. Wish that the description of the property would have included that there were 35 steps up to the property which was a challenge to several in the family. Also one bed was uncomfortable due to springs being felt.

Great location
Myself and 4 other ladies ages 53-75 yrs old rented this place. We are mature and were all very disappointed in the rental. There were so many things about this place for rent that needs work. Steep outdoor steps (should be noted in ad) which were covered with wet leaves and acorns, accident waiting to happen. Outside was beautiful with lots of trees. The outdoor furniture was left wet and leaves and acorns or ? all over them. Dirty, nasty dirty floors especially in the bathroom. broken things like sink sprayer and one shower head. one tiny baseboard heater for main area. Towels were old and no proper bath mats. Some pillows had stains. No mirrors in bedrooms so that some of us could not get ready in the morning while the bathroom was being used. Heat vents were blocked off and disgustingly dirty. Couch had rips in it. Bedrooms didn't have proper second bed, but cot with a bare foam to put on top. 3 beds plus one futon couch is what it should say, not 8 beds. Mattress in middle room had a very old mattress. Only one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and no extras which was very surprising to all of us. This home is not cared for. I have never had to give a review like this and I sure wish I didn't have to. I would have liked to know these things before I rented so want to be honest in respect of future guests.

The place is located in a nice safe neighborhood with close access to grocery and take home food shops. The place is a short drive to the main attractions to downtown Victoria. The place was comfortable and roomy with outside balcony eating and sitting areas. When we arrived the balcony and sitting sofas were drenched in rain water and covered with tree leaves and droppings. We spent sometime to clean it. The grill was also left uncleaned from previous renters. Only two toilet rolls were available. I informed Nick about the balcony leaves and droppings, the unclean grill, and toilet paper supply. Nick responded immediately to address the issues. But did not clean the balcony tree leaves and droppings. The bathroom floors could also have been cleaner.

Nice location!
We didn’t realize that there were other renters in this rental house. Through no fault of the owner (Nic), the renters above us were very heavy-footed which became annoying and very disturbing (at night after 10 pm and in the morning around 9:00 am throughout our 3-night stay). Nic advised these renters of our concerns and the heavy-footedness became less but still happened each of the 3 nights and days we were there. We appreciated Nic’s immediate responses. We appreciated the cleaniness of the house. Beware of the Rockheights suite’s squeaky floors and the showers do not seem to have pressure-sensitive (temperature-controlled) faucets such that when water is turned on somewhere the shower’s water temperature will suddenly change! We didn’t mind the many flights of stairs to access our suite but this could be an issue for renters who have issues with stairs.

Owner and location - 5 star. The space is tired and worn but the beds were good and the suite was clean. I would enjoy staying here again but at suite with less stairs.

Trip to Victoria for the Ironman 70.3
Great property, to host me, my family, and friends as I stayed during Memorial Day weekend to do the Victoria 70.3 Ironman. The house accommodated our large party just right, and there was even a nice park within a block for the kids in our group to play at. The only negative aspect of the stay was that I had to go up many many stairs from the street level to the entrance after the race because I was so sore. Definitely something to consider for any IM participants who need to do post race recovery or struggle with moving after such a big event. Otherwise, the stairs normally wouldn’t have been so bad. Even so, I think I’d stay there again bwe’re I to need lodging for another Victoria IM.
