We stayed two nights, and the AC didn’t work well. It was during mid July, so AC not working was the worst experience ever, we couldn’t sleep throughout the night. We requested the manager to change the room for the second night, but he wasn’t helpful at all. I’d highly recommend you folks to pay €10-20 extra and stay at a better place where the AC works. Other than that, it was close to all major landmarks and the train station. And the hotel was clean.

Dear Guest, the air conditioning works in the hotel, you need to understand that in Florence July is the hottest month of the year, particularly this summer we have 40 degrees for most part of the day, which is very hot of course but we believe that in another room it would have been the same...Thank you very much for the compliment on cleanliness which is very important to us Best regards, Hotel Vasari

This hotel has friendly staff and close to the train station but other than that it’s not comfortable hotel. No AC, walls are so thin I heard everyone who talked and having sex. Definitely not a family hotel as I wouldn’t want my kids to hear such things. You cannot sleep as you can literally hear everything from every room around you. Our stay here wasn’t the best, but we got around smoothly because we had close access to train.

Great location
The location is very good. It is near to the train station and there is a lot of restaurants and shops nearby. Most of the tourist spots are walkable. The room size is sufficient. It is clean. Yet the facilities and the setting is outdated and should need some renovation. The breakfast is continental styles and it is good enough for me.

Wonderful staff
Everyone is kind and professional here. Excellent heating in my room. Good windows that muffle street noise. Rooms would benefit with updating/improvements to match photos. I had an issue with my room that was handled professionally and politely.

The hotel is conveniently located close to SMN train station and the attractions. We easily walked to the Duomo. Our room was dated but added to the character of the place. Breakfast for 5 euro has a satisfying selection.

A very nice hotel, in good condition considering it is more than 700 years old building and it is in a great location, close to the station and close to the town and some nice restaurants. the breakfast is great. Comfortable beds and clean.

I loved Hotel Vasari! It was about 5 minutes walk from the station, and 15 minutes walk along a pedestrianised road lined with restaurants to the cathedral. The neighbourhood was quiet - and the staff very friendly and welcoming. My room was small but comfortable (possibly the smallest in the hotel) and the air conditioning was on when I arrived. Other than what I’ve mentioned, the highlights were the decor and the atmosphere. It felt like a cross between a rustic rural hotel and a renaissance (I think) hotel. There was a different portrait on every door - and in the breakfast room, which was beautifully decorated, relaxing music was played. I can’t speak for the other rooms but mine was excellent value for money. I highly recommend Hotel Vasari.

The hotel is located near termini historic Roma train station. The room has a comfy bed, pillow, exceptional bedding & fabulous towels. The shower is tiny!!! Has an accordion door. There’s no room inside shower to move!!! can’t scrub feet. The Lift to access your room is a tiny 1 person elevator truly!!!! Tiny, super small!!!!! They serve Continental breakfast: bread, hard boiled eggs, cheese spread, juice, cereal & cappuccino

The staff are pleasant and helpful especially Alberto. The hotel is quaint and as described it’s an old building as the others in the area. It’s a 5 minute walk to the SMN Firenze Train Station. Breakfast is good, with many options. Just an fyi: no iron nor ironing board and not enough electrical outlets. Otherwise, I am still considering staying here when my family returns to Florence. This hotel meets our needs for resting.

Excellent location near the train station and not a very long walk to the central areas. Was reasonably quiet at night. Breakfast buffet had plenty of options not just pastries like other hotels. Check in/out was quick & easy. I would stay here again.

Really nice hotel.
Really good hotel, nice location, decent breakfast included, cookies an juice at night, and reception staff always friendly and knowledgable. Bathroom had a funny smell, but overall I would stay here again and recommend.

disappointing second stay
We stayed here in 2014 and found it to be a quaint hotel with a great location and excellent staff. While the location and staff are still great--close walk to the Mercato market and all sights--the hotel has not been updated at all and needs some care. The bedding is very worn and when I got in the room there was a clump of hair on the bedspread. The air conditioner did not do a good job at all of cooling the room down--I realize the days we were there it was almost 100 F degrees, but the room was not at all cooled. Not sure I will stay here on my next trip to Florence, which is why I am disappointed as I very much love the location.

Lovely stay just a short walk from everything!
Would recommend a stay here. It's 5 minutes from the train station and then if you're heading out, all you have to do is take a right at the end of the street and you're surrounded by lots of local eateries, shops. A further 5 to 10 minutes walk and you're by Duomo and then all of the designer shops. Very welcoming host and lots of selection at breakfast made this stay wonderful.

Lovely hotel, quiet, friendly and convenient
It was a really nice hotel - definitely not a chain, very helpful staff, good breakfasts-- amazingly quiet, given how close it is to the station, walking distance to the Duomo, etc. I made a mistake booking (entirely my fault), and they fixed it without any issues. The hotel is a very traditional building, but clean, slightly quirky-- very florentine.
