We found the home and entered easily. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us and everything worked well. Note that the house is best suited for smaller groups. The kitchen table seats 4 and the cooking utensils are not large. As with other vacation rentals, the hosts seem to struggle with keeping enough tableware stocked. The cabin is a little run down with holes in the walls in one bathroom and patch jobs everywhere. Could definitely use some paint in those places. Needs more lamps in living room, master bed and better lighting in kitchen. The place is very dark. No trash bags were provided, we ended up getting some from friends who stayed in RV. We had plenty if room for our family of 6\. I would recommend that more kitchen cooking equipment be brought in such as bigget pand and skillets. Also some bigger mixing bowls to make meals with. I would also recommend a lock on yhe door going from the kitchen to the basement for gamilies with th little ones who could fall down the stairs. Other than that our stay was amazing. The whole family enjoyed the games & movie room in the basement. It was a perfect set up for a family or 4 or even more. I called this house a diamond in the rough because when we entered the RV park my husband & I both questioned our choice. We ended up very satisfied. We took advantage of the grill one evening & Kroger was super close by. I would definitely rent here again & recommend it to travelers to the Ark encounter. Things I would address:cleanliness of the bathrooms, coffee maker did not work, and could have used more blankets. This was a perfect spot to be between the two. The campground was quiet. Home alarm system offered additional peace of mind. The house was clean and had lots of room. We made sure we had a movie night and took advantage of the home theater, as well as the air hockey table. The owner called me twice to check in as I was a little later getting there than expected. This home had everything we needed. It’s in a nice little campground called Oak Creek which is near shopping, eating and even car care services. We had our vehicle serviced while visiting. Very convenient. The home was equipped with a full kitchen, bathrooms (3) and a game room. You can sleep 10 people here but we only had 4\. Plenty of space and plenty of peace. It’s the perfect getaway spot whether you’re on vacation or just wanting to work away from the office. It’s not far from the Ark Encounter and it’s really quite conveniently located to where you can go in either direction of where it is to get to places. Lighting was a bit dim in kitchen and living room. Spacious, loved the back deck and air hockey/arcade games. We wish the kitchen would have had more silverware and some aluminum foil…. Campground is conveniently located in the middle of the two attractions and is easy to get to. Area was quiet and looked well maintained.
