Great stay for fall colors
Booked the chalet for a weekend over the first week of October, and had peak color, which was fantastic with the view. Great location, and easy to get to Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. Hot tub was amazing, and the smell of the cedar is great. Definitely going to make this a yearly trip.

A Beautiful Place (with some growing pains)
First off, know this is an absolutely beautiful new build in a gorgeous location. Far enough away from the crowds to be quiet and dark at night, but close enough to pop out for groceries and adventures. Honestly, I want to ask for the blueprints for this place so I can built a replica when I retire. Well-appointed, clean, loaded with ameneties, and surrounded by exactly what you hope for in the ADK. That said, as a new build, we did have some wrinkles that needed to be ironed out on the fly. The shower backed up to the point of overflowing, so we had to sop up water with any towels we could grab. (see also the 3rd note below.) Frustrating, but not a deal breaker by a long shot, and our host was an absolute gem to take care of it immediately. More frustrating was the lack of heat, especially in dipping autumn temperatures. But cold nights led to cold mornings for our entire stay. We're used to sleeping cool, but waking up to 60° inside when it's 45° outside was... uncomfortable. HOWEVER, I've bben told this has since been fixed for future guests. Lastly, the amenities listed a washer & dryer, but as of our stay (early Oct), there were none we could find. Hook-ups downstairs, but nothing else. Would've been helpful for those sopping towels noted above. A few growing pains at an otherwise gorgeous spot. We'll happily return.

Amazing Beyond Words
This is hands down the best vacation rental we have ever had, and Leo was a fantastic host. Part 1: The home Leo's rental home is a beautiful work of art. The architecture is stunning and allows you to exist as close to nature as possible while still enjoying the comforts of a house. There are endless windows, so that everywhere you look you are taking in the natural beauty of the area. The amount of time we spent just sitting in the big picture window bed/seating area just taking in the natural setting was very refreshing. My daughter who is 3 was almost too amazed at all the stars she could see from her bed to sleep the 1st night we were there. And the natural cedar hot tub on the 2nd story deck? Amazing. Me and my wife really enjoyed sharing a drink while we listened to the coyotes howling under the glow of the milkyway from a beautiful hot tub at the end of the day. Part 2: The orchard Leo's property is located on a tiny orchard. My family loved picking apples from the trees as snacks, and were always excited to wake up to deer in the fields of the orchard. Part 3: Location 20 minutes from Saranac Lake, 30 minutes from Lake Placid, 30 minutes from Whiteface. We went adventuring in the mountains and towns everyday and never felt like anything was too far away. Some travel is to be expected in the Adirondacks. Part 4: Our Host Leo was a great communicator. Responded quickly and even left us an apple picking pole to use during our stay! Hope to stay again!

Simply amazing
We were lucky enough to be the first guests at this property. The house is absolutely stunning!! The views are incredible from every room. It’s close enough to the towns of Saranac Lake and Lake Placid so you can go out to eat etc but isolated enough that you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere at the same time. The home is very well appointed. It has everything you need for a wonderful stay including fully stocked kitchen, linens and towels, camp chairs for the fire and tons of firewood. The wood burning hot tub in the deck is a wonderful treat after a long day of hiking. The host, Leo, is an awesome guy. He met us at the property to show us around and teach us how things work. He is also full of useful tips about nearby hikes, bars and restaurants etc. He checked in a few times to make sure we had everything we need. We loved it so much we’re thinking about making this an annual event. This place is simply incredible.
