Lake views, Dock, hot tub, firepit, pet friendly
10/10 Excellent
"The property was fantastic. Highly recommended if you and your family are looking for a quiet get away from everything. Drinking coffee in morning looking down at the lake was peaceful. Having the dock to yourself was great, no luck in the fishing department but was still relaxing nonetheless. We have 4 kids 12,12,10,9 and they just loved jumping into the lake.. we've already decided we'll be back. Lake front over ocean everytime after the experience we had. "
"We very much enjoyed our stay. The house had a lot of space for our large group. The host was very quick to respond with any questions or concerns. I would have liked to have a larger grill but we made it work. "
Fort Sunsets-Best Lakefront Views, Hot Tub, Fire Pit, Dock, Kayaks, Dog Friendly
10/10 Excellent
"Our family vacation to Douglas Lake was absolutely amazing. The host of the house Jason was great to work with, answered any questions or concerns I had very promptly. The house was clean, awesome location and a perfect size for our family of six. We also appreciated that it was dog friendly so we all could be together. We rented a pontoon from H2O water sports very convenient and close to the house. Visited the Bush’s baked bean factory, and took a trip to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. But most of all we spent our time at the house and on the lake, just enjoying being together, fishing, having fires, making lots of family memories. One of our favorite things was seeing all the deer everywhere, anytime of the day. You definitely won’t be disappointed if you stay at Fort Sunsets. Book your next getaway with them. "
Lakefront home with retro accents, private pool, and private dock.

"We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful new lake home. The house is tastefully decorated and feels like a luxury retreat. It comfortably sleeps 12, making it a perfect for a family getaway. The kitchen was well equipped with all the essentials for cooking, including pots, pans, utensils, a coffee maker, an InstaPot, etc. We shopped locally to prepare our meals. Thoughtful touches like hand soaps, room sprays, plush towels, and super comfortable beds and linens made it feel extra special. The private dock was perfect for our pontoon and two large floats that seated six people each, making our time on the water very enjoyable. We also had a lot of fun using the provided kayak and two paddle boards, which were a great bonus for exploring the lake.We truly enjoyed the theater, arcade room, and indoor pool. Every amenity was used and appreciated. The Blackstone grill was also a great feature that made outdoor cooking easy.A couple of things to keep in mind for future guests: the roads leading to the property are narrow, steep, and winding, so be prepared if you are not used to mountain driving. My recommendation is not to pull a boat trailer to the house. You cannot launch from the property, and maneuvering a trailer on the roads leading to the house is difficult. Instead, plan to launch your boat at a nearby public dock and leave the trailer parked there for your stay.Overall, we loved our stay and would absolutely come back. Highly recommend!"
"This was a great lake house to stay at with our extended family. It has a beautiful view of the lake and is very nice throughout the house. Communication was great with our host and we had no major issues. Bedrooms are large and can fit large parties. Thanks so much for a wonderful week!!"
"We came for a week at the lake and we were not disappointed!!! The house and views were amazing! The house was clean and very well stocked!! The kids had a blast playing the games and jumping off the dock! We will definitely stay again when we are in the area! "
"The cabin was tasteful and extremely well apportioned!!! They provided everything that we needed, including a fully stocked kitchen and a very comfortable bed!!! We didn't have a pet or child, but the kid's room upstairs would have been perfect for a child. A pet bed and doggie treats were also available...nice touch!! Plenty of towels are always appreciated!!!"

"An actually relaxing vacation. Our 6 kids aged 4 through 14 all had a blast. We rented a boat for the week, fished, tubed, swam, played board games. Never made it to Dollywood as the kids didn’t not want to leave the lake. House had a great set up. Appreciated the pool alarm with the littles. There are a lot of strep steps, we managed well (got a leg work out in daily) but not meant for those limited by mobility. Bears are there so be mindful. There was construction while we were there on neighboring houses but did not bother us. Roads are narrow, winding, and stent times, just take your time. Thanks for an amazing vaca!"
