Upon arriving was hit with a “remaining balance” fee that I couldn’t get an understanding of aside of “this is because you booked through Expedia” after trying to understand for nearly 10 minutes going back and forth with the manager. She then tried to convince me that my stay for what I was getting was well worth it (her opinion) being that I had no choice but to pay or lose the total I had already put nearly $300, I paid. Got into the room to realize there was absolutely no AC but a small circulating fan luckily it’s not summer opened a few windows notice only 1 out of 5 had a screen. The beds weren’t very comfortable and to top it, all the complementary breakfast was was literally a bagel or a choice between 2-3 cereals. Not even a dining area for that either. There seemed to be a lot of sketchy people wandering at night and was a little worried leaving stuff in the room. This is not a place i recommended anyone unless it’s a very last resort and even still don’t expect much. There was only one staff member there that was helpful. Wi-Fi password wouldn’t connect due to the amount of devices already online. Being on the same block as the beach is probably the only positive thing and that’s me looking for one. On my way out I said good morning and told them I was leaving. Mickey, who checked us in at the front desk, was delightful! We got upgraded to a room with a patio (I don’t even think they knew it was our honeymoon, so that felt really lucky) and everything was clean and lovely. There was a full kitchen and full size refrigerator, a desk, robes, champagne glasses and an ice bucket, and a TV with a DVD player. This place has free dvd and bicycle rentals from the sister property next door, and we used both! We loved taking the bikes around town. They were all in good condition and had baskets on the front. I also loved the free breakfast in the morning and wine and cheese happy hour in the evenings. We felt right at home, and we would absolutely come back here again in the future. I forgot to mention that it’s VERY close to the ocean. On our first night, we did a full moon walk by the beach all the way down to the end of the wharf and had a romantic time snuggling and listening to seals barking. We spoke to a few people around town and when we mentioned Inn by the Harbor, everyone’s reaction was “that’s a lovely place to stay!” and we couldn’t agree more. Thank you Mickey and team!!"
