You must book the canal view room to see all the boat traffic. Still very quiet with shops and restaurants outside your door. Complimentary boat taxi to Merato. "

"The hotel is in a great location, the waterbas from the airport stops along an alley to the left of the hotel. Its about a 10 minute walk to the basillica and 15 minures to Rialto Bridge. Hotel is spotless and staff are friendly and helpful"

"Hotel Montecarlo was in an awesome location. Close to shops and restaurants. The hotel is a short walk away from the water bus which is very convenient. The staff was friendly and answered any questions we had. They also helped us bring our bags up to the room. The rooms were dated, but very clean and had everything you could need. The bed was very comfortable."

The breakfast was delicious and it's not too far of a walk, about 15 mins, to the bus station. Bathroom was nice and clean and there was a convenient store within a 2 min walk which was a great way to save some $ on drinks"

"Fantastic. Excellent communication prior to arrival. Excellent base to get the water taxi to main island and Alilaguna to airport. Hosts cannot do enough for you. Lovely, fresh, home-made breakfast. Rooms were quite warm and air con not the best but it was so quiet and less of the hustle of the main island. Beautiful views from the rooftop terrace over Venice. Had to leave early and hosts asked if we wanted a sandwich to go. My daughter asked if we could have chocolate croissants and they baked some especially. P.s. Venice and Alison are both beautiful.
