Poor service, Poor management, Don't stay here.

Memorial Day weekend and the hotel room prices were appropriately jacked up, especially for this quaint hotel right on Venice Beach. You'd think that management would've prepared for the sold out weekend. On Saturday morning, I went down to the office for free cups of coffee for my wife and myself. There was only one Keurig K-cup left for the Saturday morning guests. So, I ran water through it twice. For the hotel guests who came down after me looking for coffee, sorry about that. I used the last one. We left the room at mid-morning to walk along the beach and peruse the many shops and restaurants. I left the "Service Room" sign on our room doorknob so that housekeeping would know they could clean up our room and leave fresh towels. When we returned 5 hours later, the room hadn't been serviced yet, so I went down to the office to let the manager on duty know. I was told that they only had 2 housekeepers today, not the normal 3, but she was happy to give me a supply of fresh towels. Maybe they'll get around later today to clean the room. Another example of poor management for a holiday weekend. While I was in the office, I noticed that there were still no K-cups for the Keurig machine. I asked if they weren't able to find more cups, and the lady told me she'd talked to the owner about it. He told her he probably wouldn't get around to buying more until Monday or Tuesday. Great! We'll be making coffee at home by then. Yet another example of poor management for a holiday weekend
