Pray that nothing goes wrong during your stay here. The aesthetics of the hotel, the views from the rooms, as well as its location, are all a plus. But! We noticed several issues upon entering our room. The heated towel rack in the bathroom was missing an adjustment knob, meaning there was no way to adjust the temperature. The element was stuck on full blast, effectively turning the whole room into a sauna. We opened the windows to alleviate this - but no screens equals mosquitos coming in at night, as well as noise. Not a viable solution, obviously. We asked to switch rooms, but were told none were available. Second issue on our first night: about to go to bed, we pulled the sheets back to discover white, crystallized grains of some sort EVERYWHERE. Disgusting! We tried to reach out to the hotel via WhatsApp since there was no one at the front desk, but never received a response, even to this day. Sweltering and itchy sleep that night! The next day, a helpful lady (Monica) at the front desk put us in touch with a manager via phone - an absolutely horrible experience with her. She basically told us our complaints were untrue: the heated towel rack "was not broken" (it was), and sheets are washed out-of-house, so "not their problem." Monica was actually nice and told us someone would come fix the heater knob, as well as offered to change sheets. But the fact these problems existed at all, plus manager's response, means this hotel is not recommended at all. Stay away!

We picked this location and we’re really pleased with it apart from the Trash/Rubbish collection every morning on the river but right outside our window. The room was great and very traditional in its design which we absolutely loved. The bathroom in particular was excellent. I would say that the general hotel amenities could be improved. While there was coffee and such available there was no other refreshments. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it.

With AC working this place should be great. Their unit was down and the repair was going to take several days. There were no messages from the property management about the situation. They didn’t show any concern for the guests . They didn’t offer any way to mitigate the situation

Great small hotel in a prime Venetian location. Nadia welcomed warmly us upon our arrival. She gave us a bottle to share, some mineral waters, and great advice our whole stay. We stayed in a room with a balcony overlooking a busy canal. It was great to have a prime seat to see Venice at work and play (the noise from this room may bother some, but we loved being close to the action). The room is close to various tourist amenities, but also close to quiet Venetian areas to escape the crowds. The room was spacious, bathroom was nice,, and the bed was comfortable. A great place to stay. We are eager for our next visit.

BEWARE!! First of all, information to get to property was very poor. Operator who answers phone could not find my reservation, said he didn’t know then hung up on me at 10 o’clock at night, freezing cold, door was locked to enter hotel. Then I called back, woman answered and said to take free water taxi. It wasn’t free, cost me $150. Then the next morning and every morning after that for 4 days boats and garbage being exchanged into other boats outside my bedroom window at 6:15 in the morning. My reservation was for 10 days mind you. I complained to manager woman named Tatiana said, and I quote, all hotels have noise, the sheets in 4 days never changed, place felt more like a Hostel. No staff ever offered to accommodate me to another room that didn’t have loading and unloading of trash and cargo every morning at 6:15 am. I checked out after 4 days when I was supposed to stay for 10 days. I couldn’t tolerate this indecent noise so early any more.

Hello Todd, thank you for your pleasant review which allows us to clarify some simple concepts regarding our Palazzina Veneziana and the service of a B&B in general.Nobody told her that the taxi from the airport was free, it's a service that even 5 star hotels in Venice don't do. When she called for information we explained that arriving very late in the evening she could take either a taxi car or a taxi boat.As our beautiful Tatiane explained to her, the canals in Venice ARE ROADS, boats are the means of transport that are used in Venice instead of cars, so any room that is located exactly above a canal enjoys the pleasant view but suffers from the passage of boats. Vaporetti are water buses. I understand that it is difficult/strange for a person who is not used to it but you also have to understand, inform and respect the place you visit.As for the room change, it was not possible to do so because all the canal view rooms were occupied, she could decide to buy the superior room but she claimed to have the room with the terrace for free.We're sorry for your disappointment, and we wish you a good day.Lucia/Executive Manager

The panoramic terrace was incredible. I’ve been to Venice about twenty times and this small hotel was outstanding, atmospheric and close to the train station. I highly recommend the terrace room where you can watch the gondolas floating by underneath!

Hello Sergio, as we have already explained many times she had purchased a Virtual Card but upon arrival at the hotel has paid again the stay. We opened a case since we had not cashed your virtual card to see if it was possible to cancel it, at the moment when we were told that this was not possible We returned the payment made to us directly and then went to cashing the virtual card. Great location, easy walking distance to venues. The staff were excellent...inviting us to help ourselves to coffee or tea and feel comfortable in the parlour. Good view of the canal from the tables by the windows.

We were in the annex building across the street and it was very charming and vintage while still being updated in the right places. The clerk who checked us in was very friendly and let us leave our bags in the room early so we could explore the city.

Definitely staying here again. I was able to stay in both the balcony and terrace rooms. They were well kept and had amazing views. Everything was nearby;The Alilaguna Guglie Stop, good restaurants, and the St. Lucia Train Station.

Hotel is 8 min walking distance from the train station. There are no elevator or a person who can help carrying your bags upstairs, so be prepared to do it yourself. We were disappointed as they didn’t leave any toiletries for us (no shampoo, no shower gel, no conditioner...just a small bar of soap). Also, there are 2 buildings where they only have 1 staff member located in one building. The second building is completely separate and doesn’t have any concierge desk, so if you need anything later in the evening (Ex. Shampoo/ conditioner/ shower gel in my case) - good luck, as no one is there to address your concerns!!!

The front desk is open from 7:30 a.m to 7:30 pm and we are glad to help guest with all the needs. It was a good stay except that theres a lot of mosquitoes and got bite all over my body. The breakfast is good and the lady made me good fried eggs.The room is small but love the design on it. The hotel is so close to shop, to the restaurant, ferry, gondola ride.

We were surprised how close this property was to key tourist destinations. It is less than 10 mins walk to the Duomo and 2 mins walk to the Accademia Gallery. The staff is pleasant and the rooms pretty good! Would definitely recommend this place for all travelers.

Best Ever
Best hotel experience in Venice after several trips. Incredibly great location right on a canal, 200 feet from a pedestrian bridge, with restaurants, bakeries and watering holes just moments away. The interior decor was amazing. The only drawback is like all hotels in old Venice, there was no elevator. Hotel staff spoke good English and were very helpful. Thank you!

Perfect located hotel.
A small friendly family run hotel. The perfect location on the canal, a short stroll to the Grand canal and boat stops. The breakfast was a fresh continental selection. Restaurants and shops very close by. Highly recommended.

I arrived early and room was clean and ready. I did not have to leave my luggage at check-in area since room was available early. They gave me an upgrade for same price. I was in annex building which was not too far from main building. Clean and upgraded bathroom with option for rain shower head. Location was near train station. I only had to go over one bridge (do not take the bridge near station) which is directly next to the hotel/check-in. Host showed me the way to annex building and helped me with my heavy luggage to the annex and up the stairs. I was happy with the location and very close to the boat (Alilaguna)to get back to the airport. It was a very hot day and glad for the air conditioned room. I would stay here again.
