Owner does not use VRBO for payments and instead uses some third party-software that does not work very well. Paying was a painful process involving many communications with the owner to get it finally done. Another learning is to seek an arrival point for the water taxi that is close to the apartment with the fewest bridges with their stair as possible with luggage. The best is St. Samuel, which has no bridges. The apartment itself is fine and the location is good. The owners attitude is oc one who has been renting the apartments (4) for a little too long and mostly just wants get the job done. Don't expect a warm welcome. ##### Gregory B. Situated in a quiet lane but just a few metres from shops, restaurants and the vaporetto stop on the Grand canal. All the main sites are within easy walking distance. The property was spotless and well equipped. Comfy bed and a cute little courtyard. Only downside was that the accommodation was quite dark and a bit gloomy. Needed lights on at all times. She met us at the vaporetto and took us to the apartment. The apartment is in a great location and it's CLEAN! It's decorated beautifully so that one can feel right at home. Irene was able to answer all our questions and even made suggestions for our stay. We felt she would always be available if need be, but everything went so smoothly that there was no need to contact her once there. We felt comfortable and secure in our apartment. On our last day since check-out was at 11 am and we didn't need to leave until 3 pm, we were able to leave our luggage in the hallway without worry.
