If you book here, make sure to read the instructions! They give you specifics on where to go for check-in! It’s a different location than where you will be staying! With that being said, this was a great place to stay! Literally in the middle of two sights to see while in Venice! Super convenient!!! Also, super friendly at the reception desk- and if you are worried about language barriers- they speak English. We were able to communicate with them through WhatsApp once we got to our room in case we needed something. Which we did - and they were super responsive. In the building where we checked in they have a small dining area where they serve a buffet style breakfast for 10 euro. Super convenient when you start your day of exploring at 7 am. This is perfect! My mom really enjoyed her stay here and we highly recommend it.

The entry was difficult to find. We had to walk through about 3 inches of water in the first part of the indoor entry. As for our room, it was disappointing and a health hazard. The entire bathroom ceiling and about a foot down from the ceiling was covered in black mould. Some of it was falling from the ceiling to the floor. To say the least, it was an extremely unhealthy place to stay.. Consequently, we left early and with no offer from the hostess of a refund. And, the final straw was as we were leaving, a couple came in the front door complaining that they had been ringing the front door bell for 30 minutes without the person in charge letting them in! The breakfast was fine, even “good”, We don’t blame the hotel for the water that flooded Venice but we would have expected a trolley of some sort to transport heavy bags into the building without having to drag them through a foot of water. We were unable to use the closet because one of the doors was off the track and wouldn’t move. Also there were only 9 coat hangers and the hanger bar was over 7 feet above the floor. in fairness, the hostess helped us up the stairs with our luggage.
