Just imagine yourself amidst picturesque canals and charming campielli in the popular sestriere of Dorsoduro, a picture perfect place nestled away from the tourist crowds and yet a short stroll away from the major sites and attractions (less than 10 minute's walk to Accademia!) An ideal location in the city's historic centre. At Ca' Venexiana, we are completely enclosed, away from the noise of the city's foot traffic on the calles and bordered on two sides by quiet canals. All of our windows face onto water to ensure your utmost privacy; there will be no passing tour groups peering in your windows. Our garden courtyard is completely private (for our guests' use only) and opens onto a lovely canal for pleasant viewing of the passing gondolas. Any traffic on our canals is restricted to gondolas and local small boats, sheltering us from the noise of the daily delivery barges or trash boats. Ca' Venexiana is a true hidden paradise.  
  
Maintained to a high standard and filled with personal touches both inside and out, we believe you will find everything you could want for a comfortable stay. Inside you will find a splendid retreat - sumptuously decorated - where you can truly live "la vita di Venezia," an experience no hotel can offer. Within minutes of our doorstep, you will find the popular and enjoyable Campo San Margherita, Campo San Barnaba, and the Zattere, all perfect and unique spots for basking in the Venetian atmosphere.  
  
The owner of this property takes great pride and makes every effort to share the secrets of the city with her guests, seeking to make each guest's stay a personal and fulfilling experience. Our guests are greeted personally and given all the benefit of a local's perspective, their knowledge and love for this unique place we call home. Many of our guests have become our personal friends with whom we keep in touch and share our love of this wonderful city.  
  
There are no hidden fees! Housekeeping, the City of Venice tourist taxes, and utilities are all included - you will not be asked to pay these separately upon arrival as many other properties will. No surprises - you can begin your adventure as soon as you arrive...  
  
At Ca' Venexiana you will also find the 'little things' most easily overlooked when traveling­ - electrical adapters, umbrellas, a library of books, guidebooks and maps, and rainboots for rainy days. There is a flat-screen computer for our guests' use, a vast selection of DVDs, as well as complimentary Netflix for evenings in. We keep a selection of excellent cookbooks on hand, as well as seasonal herbs growing on our canalside courtyard. You can even enjoy a lemon from our lemon tree when in bloom! We strongly suggest visiting the local markets (daily fish, fruit and vegetable markets are located within two minutes of our door.) Our chef-inspired, fully-equipped kitchen has every modern convenience, ready for you to try your hand at some authentic Italian dishes.  
  
Ca' Venexiana is not a hotel, house, or villa \~ we are a private apartment that offers a unique, self-catering accommodation experience for your holiday / vacation / getaway. NORTHEAST ITALY/VENETO REGION: Venice, the queen of the Adriatic, has been attracting visitors for centuries for good reason. Museums, artwork, history, churches, hospitality, cuisine...Piazza San Marco, the Bridge of Sighs, Rialto, palazzos on the Grand Canal...she is a treasure map waiting to be explored. From Venice, you can easily venture outward to her neighboring islands (Lido, Murano, Burano, Torchello...) and the northeastern mainland of Italy which offers such jewels as Padova, Vicenza, and Verona. Ferry service is available for neighbouring Croatia and the Istrian coast.  
  
Ca' Venexiana is located in sestiere Dorsoduro, long preferred by artists and writers the likes of Hemingway, Proust, and Dickens \~ loved for its peace, beauty, and scenes of inspiration. Amenities are all very close by. A fine selection of open-air markets and groceries can be found moments from our doorstep, while numerous restaurants, bars, and cafes (as well as the best gelaterias in Venice) are ready to welcome you.  
  
ARRIVING IN VENICE: by airplane into Venice Marco Polo or Treviso airports. From there, you can use a bus, water boat, or even a land taxi to reach the apartment. Very convenient! By train, you arrive into Venezia Santa Lucia station. Arrival by car or bus terminates at Piazzale Roma - both are a 15 minute walk to the apartment. Or, you can take the vaporetto (water bus) from Piazzale Roma or Ferrovia to either the San Basilio or Ca' Rezzonico stops. Both stops are within 5 minutes walk of Ca' Venexiana.

#### Emplacement parfait

2 ième séjour dans ce logement et tout était aussi parfait. L’accueil, la communication mais surtout l’emplacement, au coin de deux canaux, avec la cour arrière parfaite pour l’apéro.Dorsoduro est un quartier tranquille mais à proximité de tous les lieux plus touristiques.En plus, il y a plusieurs excellents restaurants à proximité. J’espère y retourner une 3 ième fois!

Ce logement est parfait! L’emplacement, l’accueil, la propreté et le confort des lits. Nous avons adoré « le jardin », qui donne sur le canal. Merci pour les suggestions de restaurants, ils étaient délicieux! Nous reviendrons sûrement!

We totally enjoyed our stay - the apartment was in a terrific area, was quiet, clean and we felt very safe. The outdoor space was amazing - very special. The kitchen, bathroom and laundry met our expectations - however we only had one set of keys when the on sight documentation indicated two were included ( having two sets would have been more convenient). The check in process was also not what was promised but turned out - ok.

We loved how quiet the location was. It was an easy walk to the main attractions of Venice, but tucked away in a quiet area of the city. The apartment was easily one of the best we've stayed in! The kitchen had everything we needed for making amazing meals to enjoy on the fabulous canal side courtyard! We would return without hesitation!

What a wonderful place to stay. Close to al the sights, and it was great having breakfast and watching the gondolas saunter past the little terrace. There's a treasure trove of guides and information in the property to help you make the most of your stay. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful apartment! It was exactly as advertised and Jackie was a delight to work with on every aspect from dealing with possible train delays due to a strike to the personal notes and directions on how to work everything in the apartment. Chairs met us at the vaparetto station and walked us to the apartment and explained checking in and out as well as leaving her information if we needed anything. The absolute best part was the patio on the canal where we drank wine and watched the boats every afternoon. The bed was comfortable and the room was dark allowing us to sleep in every morning way past our normal time.

The apartment was clean, very well furnished and absolutely wonderful - it was also located in a great area, very convenient and also very easy to reach by foot or by vaporetto, yet quiet and away from the tourist crowds. The host was an absolute pearl. Wonderful, 11 out of 10!

#### Perfect spot in Venice

The location of this apartment cannot be beat. Located in a quiet neighborhood, right on a canal. We loved having our morning coffee in the private courtyard, watching the random boats go by. It was away from the noise and touristy parts of Venice but an easy walk to all the popular spots. Nice 2 bedroom with a full kitchen. It has everything you can possibly need. Having stayed in a lot of VRBOs and airbnbs, this was a well stocked and well thought out rental. Jackie and the property management folks were super helpful and easy to communicate with. Check in and check out process was easy. Plus they booked our water taxi to the airport for a 3 am pick up. I would stay here everytime.

This is a gem of a property. You couldn’t ask for a cleaner, more well stocked home than this. We loved the neighbourhood so much. It is quiet and had a much more local feel than many of the other properties we were considering. It’s easy to reach the vaporetto to get wherever you need to go in the city. I would love to return to Venice and would absolutely book this place again.

#### Amazing Venice stay

Wonderful apartment with great attention to details that made our stay comfortable and allowed us to experience Venice in a memorable way. The neighborhood was safe and vibrant with wonderful shops, restaurants and locals. We walked and took the vaporetto everywhere and, thanks to Jackie’s recommendations and organization, we saw and did everything we didn’t know we needed to see and do. #### Gorgeous property in a quiet neighborhood

This is a beautiful apartment that FEELs like Venice! Located on the canal, it was easy to navigate to from the vaporetto. And it is at the end of a quiet alley with multiple piazzas close by for food, drink and people watching. Jackie and Irene were wonderful to work with. Jackie provided a lot of information and recommendations about being in Venice - it was very helpful. If we travel back to the city, we will definitely stay here again, and we highly recommend it to you!

#### live like a venetian

We decided to stay in a vrbo instead of a hotel to get an authentic experience. This place was just lovely. Close to nice restaurants without the price of being in the Center of the tourist area. The vaporetto was very close and easy to take to major attractions or if your like my husband also about 30minute walk to Rialto and the doge palace. The walk is part of the experience and a great way to enjoy the city. We loved our stay and our host responded immediately to our questions and was a great help.

This property is not only located in a wonderful part of town, the thought and detail that has gone into this home is above and beyond. Irene helped us navigate a confusing vaporetto situation, met us at the pier, and showed us the home. I can't say enough wonderful things about Venice and this stay was the cherry on top.
