Features Italian marble floors, hand-cut mosaic detail in the bathroom, Venetian chandeliers. Master bedroom with full-size double bed, parquet flooring, fitted wardrobe, Venetian chandelier. Sofa bed in living room pulls out to double bed. The kitchen is fully fitted and is divided from the living room by a worktop and breakfast bar. Living room has sofa and dining table for 6. It has air conditioning, floor heating and internet wi-fi. Our apartment is located in the university district and just two bridges from Campo Santa Margherita which is noted on Public Places ''60 of the Worlds Greatest Places'' list and it is the largest square in Venice and a popular hangout for Venetians young and not so young. It has a great choice of restaurants and cafes and a vegetable and fish market. You can sit in the sun and enjoy a coffee or a cocktail and watch the world go by. The Gaffaro apartment (named after the bridge it overlooks) is conveniently located for your arrival and departure as it is a short walk from the train station and the bus station at Piazzale Roma. L'appartement Gaffaro est parfait pour un séjour un peu en retrait des grandes foules, dans un quartier résidentiel et pourtant vivant. La circulation dans Venise est simple avec des arrêts de vaporetto à quelques minutes de marche. Sebastiano est bien organisé, disponible et nous a accueilli chaleureusement. L'aménagement est récent avec de nombreux équipements parfaitement conformes au descriptif. La vue est très agréable et le quartier est tranquille, loin de l'agitation de la place St Marc qui n'est pourtant pas très loin,environ 30 minutes à pieds. L'appartement est aussi très bien situé par rapport à la gare routière et ferroviaire,environ 400 m. Nous n'avons qu'une envie,c'est d'y retourner. The kitchen had everything we needed and we cooked a few dinners there. The bed was very comfortable, as is the couch in the living room area. The view of the canals is wonderful from the dining table. Sebastiano is an awesome host that took the time to answer all our questions about where to eat, shop and how to navigate the water bus. A wonderful one bedroom with an incredible view, in a lovely neighborhood in Venice. Even better, it’s only a five minute walk to the P. De Roma vaparetto, where you can get all the water buses to visit Venice. Sebastiano is a great host. He met us at the apartment (actually found us, as we were a bit lost), and spent time pointing out everything in the apartment and recommending places to visit and eat. His apartment was very generously stocked with anything you could ever need. He took his time to answer every question and helped navigate us to grocery stores and any trip we had planned. We were able to do laundry and get all we needed. It’s very close to the vapretto. Sometimes line 1 wasn’t working and you would need to take like 2 with all the other tourists. Please note to take the correct bridge over after the large green bridge. The first bridge after that has a ramp. We regrettably missed that and took the extra stairs. Sebastiano has to rescue us with our luggage and was very generous to help carry our load to the apartment. His apt was a lovely haven to the crest city of Venezia. Thank you for a lovely stay. Being on the 3rd floor you have breathtaking views and can truly embrace "life" in Vencie. Sebastiano provided fantastic information about traveling and things to do in Venice.
