Out of date leaflets were given to us with offers that were no longer available. Wi-Fi wasn’t working until our last night there. Breakfast was VERY limited. We found bugs in our beds and our room was never serviced! The reception and restaurant staff were really nice and helpful and the location is lovely if you have your own transport (which we didn’t!)

This property is definitely NOT catered to tourists specifically to those who are visiting Amsterdam for the very first time which is my case. The property is very FAR to the city center and is NOT easily accessible using the public transit. The closest bus stop in the area igoing to Amsterdam Central is 1.1 miles away walk and it is not an easy walk specially when it is raining. If you use google maps to navigate going to the hotel from the closest bus stop, you will end up on the other side of the pond opposite the property and you will have to retrace your walk so you can get back to the hotel. I would like to be fair in my review and would like to give credit to a couple of staff for at least providing me with VERY MINIMAL help as to how to get around the place so I can explore the city center, but most of the time the front desk staff will try to prioritize the work they have in their computers rather than prioritizing a client standing in front of the reception. I was even told by one of the staff on a heavy rainy day that it is better to walk the 1.1 miles than waiting for a ride going to the bus station! This hotel in this location is NOT a good place to stay as tourist and will definitely NOT recommend this to my family, friends, and other travelers who are just visiting Amsterdam! I asked one of the staff what clientele do they cater to and was told mostly locals attending seminar or meeting. I think staff should be mindful to all clients’ needs!

The car park is far away and it isn’t privately owned by them it is a public car park and the sauna and the pool you had to pay for Everything they claimed free was either not or publicly owned and the breakfast wasn’t too god but it was alright. It is a 2 star hotel in my opinion it doesn’t have the facilities for anything more that a 2 star

Old dated and very basic hotel.
The hotel has definitely seen better days and is very dated. "nice" view of the lake with old broken boats/pedaloos gives you the idea of maintenance. Close to no amenities in the room (no fridge, kettle, coffee, tea, etc). You have to pay if you want to use the sauna. Breakfast was pretty basic with terrible coffee. I would have definitely gone for another place, just wanted to have a swim in the evening.

I was really disappointed. The hotel was rated as 4*. My room was burning hot with no AC. The safety box was broken. Towels were smiling like unwashed head and Bodley sweat. The hot water run out in the morning and I had waited for more then 30 minutes. At the end I had cold water shower. the entrance to my room was through the dinning hall and next to the kitchen. Smell of food was traveling straight to my room. The hotel didn’t even have iron or ironing board. We had to buy an iron from the shops and at the end left it for the hotel. I would The hotel doesn’t have hairdryer. Not even proper toiletry or shampoo, conditioner etc... really disappointed

The property is surounded by water and therefor very quiet. The swimming pool is an extra plus but the posting for the pool hours are confusing.

Door is not soundproof and walls are thin and you can hear all noises on the hall and from other rooms. Parking is far from the hotel near some trees and had no surveillance video cameras. There is no power socket near bed. All night there were annoying beating sounds from above. Breakfast was poor and old fruits

Horrendous service; truly filthy parts of the room and hotel. Saving grace: swimming pool...that’s it. Spend less money elsewhere and get a better hotel. This place should be shutdown...

Between Expedia and the Hotel I was not able to get my airport shuttle service arranged. I booked an extra night at the hotel specifically because the of the airport shuttle service advertised on this site. It said that he hotel need to be contacted to arrange the service. Several phone call to Expedia and Customer Service Representatives' calls to hotel. Each time the response was "call back later" and the CSR told me you can schedule when you arrive... When I landed, I found out that I could not schedule a shuttle. When I checked in after a 72 euro taxi I was told "we've never had an airport shuttle, we've never done that, and it shouldn't be on the site." So, long story short. I paid for the more expensive room just because they offered a shuttle, but they didn't have the shuttle so I paid extra from the room and the taxi. But it was a nice place to stay, good breakfast, and otherwise pleasant surroundings. I learned my lesson, don't use Expedia after this trip. But, I'm not sure how the airport shuttle service that has never existed ended up on their website.

Had stayed before and was pleased with the room, view and facilities. However new room I was given, had no view, was quite cramped due to location, and the noise from serving trolleys going over tiles can be disturbing at night and early in the morning. Tried to use facilities, but pool was unable (no complaints as this is advertised) but sauna was still cold even after giving 2 hours notice for use and steam room had no steam. Bit of a let down from previous experience and not likely to book again.

Very far out .... in the middle of no where. Poor access and connectivity. I paid 88 euro to get there from Amsterdam. No food shops or even water. We became dependent on hotel supplies for every need. Overpriced breakfast at €15 ok was a cold breakfast with very limited choices. We had to have dinner in the hotel's restarent as the nearest cafe was 25 min taxi drive. We paid €136 for four. The menu had nothing for vegetarians (well, bread was there). But no hot food choice for vegetarians. When we ordered desserts, we were told the portions were very small and we should order one each. So we did. To our surprise, the portions were bite size and we could have managed with only two as we only wanted to taste and not eat a whole portion. Staff at reception were good with easy check in. Rooms are very small. No wardrobes or slmirah to hang your clothes. Nothing to store bags. Rooms smelled and I could hear noises from next room and from road or garden. Small lake or pkbd outside looked good.

There was no shuttle airport service and no 24h check-in as it was mentioned in the site, the location is so far from the city center and for reaching to public transportation you need to walk 20 minutes which is not possible at all when it is dark

Excellent swimming pool
The hotel is clean, water in swimming pool clean and warm, kids and I enjoyed to swim in the morning and evening. Staff is very friendly and want to help you. The views are beautiful, all green and lakes, and silence, which is great after a noisy day in Amsterdam. We had the family suite, some things were old , but clean, very big and comfortable , great view and had jacuzzi too.

Country hotel in busy country
The hotel was situated in a park area, ideal for walks cycling etc, but easy to get to off the motorway. We would recommend it as an overnight stop from the Newcastle ferry but is more suited to a longer stay to use the countryside around it. Very good dinner out on the patio by the lake

Peaceful retreat in a lovely setting
We booked this hotel at short notice due to its convenient location and were not disappointed. Lovely setting and wonderful to wake up to a view of the lake and the sounds of birdsong. The staff could not have been more pleasant. The only downside was that there is a major road development taking place in the area and the diversions are poorly signposted, confusing our sat nav and making it difficult to access from certain directions; very frustrating after the long drive from England. The staff were very understanding and accommodating, despite our late arrival. The setting within woodland ensured a peaceful stay without undue traffic noise. Breakfast was very nice, good variety of bread, meats and cheeses, plus bacon and eggs if preferred.

Great staff but old facility
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was good. The location, depending on what you needed, is somewhat not very accessible, taxi drivers may have a hard time finding the place. Getting to Amsterdam city center takes about an hour first by bus and then taking the train or metro. Wifi was free and not too slow. The room was old, TV had only 2 channels, little spiders were walking around on their webs, sound insulation between rooms was not good.

Beautiful location
We only spent one night at this hotel, but wish we could have stayed longer. The staff was superb, food was wonderful, and the kids loved the pool and the park-like setting. We will definitely book again if we are ever near Amsterdam again.

Nice enough hotel, but light on service/facilities - arrived late in the evening, seemed deserted even though it was supposed to be full. Staff kindly served us one drink as we arrived after bar had closed (11pm). It is very out of the way - no town, etc, nearby, so ordinarily wouldn't choose to stay here unless, like in this case, meetings were arranged at the hotel, but otherwise fine for a short stay.

This hotel wasn't good for us. The location was really isolated and really hard to find a taxi from the ferry. This hotel seems best for people from Holland who can drive there easily. Once we got there we felt like we couldn't go anywhere. The room was cold and restaurant staff a little indifferent.

This location is great for a family stay. It is nice and calm. Breakfast is very good. The staff were very friendly. Swimming pool was nice and warm. Very close to the highway and P R at Sparnwoude Haarlem is the best one to use by car as the parking is free of cost and travel to Amsterdam Central costs around 10€ up and down.

De dame bij de incheckbalie was vriendelijk. Op mijn vraag of er ook kamers met een badkuip waren, zei ze dat de kamers 2 weken geleden gerenoveerd waren en dat geen enkele kamer meer een bad had en dat ze vergeten zijn om dat van de site af te halen. Het leek ons een niet waarschijnlijk verhaal. Als er werkelijk gerenoveerd zou zijn, zouden de deuren naar het zwembad, de kluisjes bij het zwembad en de trap naar de logies een opknapbeurt hebben gehad. De glazendeuren in de hallen opende de verkeerde kant op voor brandveiligheid. De ontbijtploeg was ontzettend aardig, dat maakte veel goed. Met name het gemis van een badkuip en een telefoon op de kamer om aan te geven dat we dat misten. We hebben genoten van het zwembad, dat was ook echt een plus.

Alt i alt var det en god oplevelse at bo på Fletcher Hotel. Morgenmaden var helt fin, og betjeningen god. Der var god hjælp at hente i receptionen. Området ved hotellet er flot og med dejlig natur. Pas på den rasende svane! Swimmingpoolen er helt fin. Men, rengøring af værelset inden ankomst var ikke i orden.

Gleich vorweg: Bitte lasst euch nicht Zimmer Nummer 2 oder 3 geben, diese Zimmer sind schrecklich und liegen etwas abseits von allen anderen Zimmern ( unser Zimmer 3 war alt, ungemütlich, schmuddelig, laut mit Blick auf die Hintertüren des Personals und nicht für 4 Personen geeignet) Nach unserer Bitte nach einem anderen Zimmer in einer der oberen Etagen waren wir zufrieden. Dort entsprach alles einem 4 Sterne Standart. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig, das Restaurant gemütlich. Es gab sogar eine Tischtennisplatte (allerdings keine Schläger, die hatten wir aber eh dabei) und einen Pool. Langweilig wurde es also nicht. Angeln ist wohl im See vor dem Hotel möglich, auch das Baden. In der Nähe des Hotels befindet sich eine Art Bauernhof, der einen Besuch lohnt und zu Fuss erreichbar ist. Da das Hotel etwas abseits liegt, muss man immer das Auto nutzen, denn auch die Öffis sind ein Stück weiter weg. Auch schnell mit dem Auto ist die Snowworld erreichbar. Wir würden das Hotel daher empfehlen.
