Quiet location to drop out and have a peaceful walk in the grounds. Information on check in was limited and had to call for a reception. It would have been useful to have information available in a range of languages to make the most of the stay.

Haraldskær offers quiet respite to Legoland chaos
LOVED this hotel. Staff was wonderful, rooms were clean and modern, breakfast buffet and dinners were DELICIOUS, fresh, and locally sourced. We traveled to this part of Denmark to visit Legoland and chose to stay at the Haraldskær as it was less expensive than hotels near Legoland. What a great decision! Legoland was an easy 15 minute drive in the morning and when we were done, we retreated to this beautiful and calm countryside hotel. The nearby walking and biking trails were amazing and it provided a nice rest after Legoland chaos. The included breakfast was delicious - with locally sources cheeses, honey, and jam. While the dinner was a bit expensive, we did opt for it one night and were delighted with the choice. There aren't any other restaurants in walking distance, but there are grocery stores in Billund and Vejle for picnic dinners. Also, Vejle is an easy 5 minute drive away for other dining options. My only negative comment would be that there are no screens on windows. As we were there during a hot spell, we kept windows open to allow cool evening air in. Spiders were also active during that time period and a few spiders also came in.

Hotel room is very small, the price you pay for this room, it literally looks like a hostel room at best. The bathroom is so tiny, water pressure is very poor, but staff is very good

Calls themselves a four star hotel, but room for four is the size of a postage stamp, NO air conditioning and room was almost 30 C!! Also, with window open, ceiling was crawling with bugs! Breakfast was excellent however. Hotel way too expensive for the room you get. Maybe they user their worst rooms for Expedia booked guests? I would not stay there again at any price!

Hi Anonymous. Besides family suites, we only sell one type of room online, but if we have made a mistake, feel free to contact us! Our restaurant guests can be seated every day from Monday to Saturday from 18.00 until 21.00. Sometimes we have many restaurant guests and if a reservation is not made in advance, we cannot guarantee a table, sorry. However, we are always happy to prepare a sandwich or similar to enjoy in our lounge or in the hotel room. We hope to welcome you another time!

Good escape from Legoland
Lovely location and gardens, and the hotel has character. Breakfast was excellent and the breakfast room had pleasant views. Check in was not especially friendly though. The room (family room) was sized as we expected, but the pillows were very flimsy and the wooden laminate floor never seems particularly clean or comfortable.

Lovely hotel in the countryside, perfect service
We chose the Hotel Haraldskar to be near Legoland and could not be more pleased. The breakfasts were delicious, fresh and ample, the rooms were clean, and the grounds gorgeous. The staff were helpful at all times, finding toothbrushes for us when ours went missing, and offering directions and help. The hotel is newly refurbished, so it feels modern on the inside, and retains the charm of the old manor home on the outside. I would happily stay here again and again.

A nice stay 20 minutes by car from a UNSECO site
A very nice hotel. The main building is a converted manor house, it seems. The actual rooms are in an extension to the left. The rooms looked new and had a nice view of a pasture. The service was excellent, as was the breakfast buffet. They have board games and a nice lounge area in the main building. We enjoyed a couple of nice walks around teh grounds and along a bike path that connects to the property.

Nice location, but we were not able to eat in the hotel because of a wedding, and had to drive 5 miles to get a meal. Guests should be warned in advance that the restaurant will be closed.

Quiet hotel, close to Vejle, Jelling and Legoland
Haraldskjaer is a beautiful restored and extended old manor house, which is used as a hotel and conference centre. Rooms were on the small side, but clean, modern and well fitted out and we had the prettiest view over the surrounding country side from our window. Staff were friendly and spoke excellent English. Good location for easy access to Vejle, Legoland and Jelling. The hotel restaurant was really, really good. The décor was simple and modern, the service was good, but the food was amazing, especially the breakfast. Homemade bread, straight out of the oven, handmade organic butter from local cows, homemade jam from berries grown locally, fresh homemade berry juice, honey from the farm next door and lots more. Honestly, the best and healthiest breakfast I ever had in a hotel.

Delightful, Charming and Pleasant Hotel
Let me start saying that my family and I are very pleased with our stay. It was fantastic! We were in the area to take our kids to Legoland. The hotel is very charming and it has a nice architecture. The premises are great for walking and relaxing. There is plenty of outdoor space for the kids to run and play and great to take family pictures. It is located between Vejle and Billund. It is a 5-minute drive to Vejle and 12-15 minute drive to Billund. The driving to these places is also very pleasant. Our room was spacious and comfortable for our family of 4. It was very clean and it had all we need for our stay. The staff was very kind and helpful. They were always willing to help us. Breakfast was very tasteful and plentiful. The food was fresh. They use local ingredients and partner with the local farmers. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant and everything was fresh and tasteful as well. The local area is really nice and there is a lot to do for kids. Vejle is a nice small town and everyone is very friendly. If you don’t have too much time and you are thinking to go visit Copenhagen, just give Vejle a chance. I am glad I did. If you are going to Legoland or be in the area I would really recommend this hotel. You will enjoy every moment.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights at the start of August. The hotel is located in a really nice spot just off the main road. The room was quite small for a family room. We were happy with the staff, and the hotel generally however, if you are expecting a Gourmet experience you will not get it here. The main evening meal was a buffet (no choice but to have the buffet) which comprised of some cold meat starters and then basically three meat and two veg. The buffet could get very boring after one night and given the hotel is located in the middle of no where I would have expected them to try and make it more varied. We ended up driving to Velje to eat out to get some variety. The breakfast buffet is also a disappointment as there was no fruit just extremely fried bacon, sausages, conjealed scrambled eggs and large doughy pancakes. the staff also needed reminding from time to time to get things like cutlery..... All in all a great base to explore the middle of Denmark, but I guess you could do that just as well by staying in a tent......

A lovely old exterior, and a modern (standard style) European interior (along with a fascinating service corridor outside the room windows (but inside the hotel windows) along with strong climate control (in the midst of the European heat-wave this summer) provided a fine and welcome space. I do NOT get the European obsession with the duvet, or with square pillows, but that's not on them. Service was fine and helpful - providing a breakfast to go when I had to leave before the included breakfast started serving. I experienced none of the out-of-room amenities of the hotel beyond that breakfast. Oh, and you can NOT beat the location if you're traveling to/from Prague by train.

A Lovely place to stay.
This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. We would have liked more time to explore and enjoy the walks and paths around. We had a baby and they were all very accommodating. The crib even had a figured comforter and pillow. The staff were helpful and we enjoyed our stay there and will no doubt be back.

Nice,quiet and really green place in the village.
It was our first time in Denmark and this hotel gave us nice and quiet place to rest after all day visit in Legoland:-)Delicious buffet breakfast with fresh and natural products.Minus for dinner-only one main course from pork:-(.
