"Wonderful quaint place to stay"
The hotel staff was very kind and helpful. As we were checking in our bags were already brought to our room. The room was nicely appointed and clean. We also appreciated the 24 hour tea service and the wonderful petite déjeuner that was offered in the beautiful atrium courtyard. The staff was very helpful in recommending a restaurant and made our reservations for us.

"Perfect location with helpful staff"
We only stayed the one day but the apartment would have been perfect for a longer stay. The location was perfect for exploring Avignon and the information sent in advance enables us to use a park and ride which was very convenient. The staff were very helpful and even allowed us to collect our bags outside of the stated times when reception was open. The accommodation was very interesting historically and the room was very nice.

"Very Nice Hotel Far from Avignon"
This was a very nice hotel. The staff was very helpful and most personnel spoke very good English. The hotel and the rooms were very nice and centered around a beautiful courtyard. Our room had a patio with table and chairs which would have been very nice if it had not been so cold outside. The breakfast buffet was acceptable, although we arrived one day 20 minutes before the end and all of the hot items were gone and none were replaced. This was odd since there was a 16 euro charge per person for breakfast. The Hotel is located in a small town, Villeneuve-les-Avignon, outside of Avignon. It is NOT within walking distance to Avignon. The taxi ride costs about 16 euro one way. We were under the impression that the hotel was within a 20 minute walk of Avignon. It is actually about a 20 minute walk to the bus to Avignon which we were told only runs until 7pm. If you do not have a car, plan on the taxi fares of 32 euro round trip. In addition, one cold night it took us one and a half hours to get a taxi back to the hotel. We finally went to the train station taxi stand but that was no quicker. The first taxi refused to take us because it was too far.

"Very Good Value"
A good value apartment hotel. It is 30 minutes walk from the station (Avignon Centre) and the same from the centre. If you are coming from Avignon TGV there is a shuttle at €7 per person each way. Excellent large supermarket next door. NB reception is closed between noon and 2pm, but they let us check-in at 11am although official check-in time is 4pm. Pleased with the flexibility - depends on whether there is a room available.

"Exceeded expectations"
Lovely two star hotel. The room with the laid out very well, it was sparkling clean, the bathroom was well lit and modern. I stayed at a more expensive three-star hotel the night before and it wasn't any nicer than the Garlande. Everything in Avignon within the city walls is an easy walk. This is a great location.
