We had an unexpected stay over in Vancouver and decided to splurge. This hotel is beautiful! The aboriginal art work on the floor visible from the escalator, is stunning. Flower arrangements were gorgeous. Our room was spacious and comfortable.

Nice hotel

Great hotel. Loved the view from our Harbour King room. And excellent hotel staff. Drawbacks were you got to pay for Internet, no complimentary water bottle or snacks, or coffee or tea.

Glamorous hotel with a hint of pretension

Posted 1-Oct-2016
Pros: The room's quality and furnishings, especially the bathroom, were excellent -- appropriate for the high end reputation and price. Friendly staff.
Cons: Breakfast service in the restaurant was slow (my friend finished her meal by the time my eggs Benedict arrived) and expensive ($30) but good quality.
The Pan Pacific is a beautiful building jutting into the Vancouver Harbor, alongside the cruise ship wharf. For well over $300 we were given a view on the "wrong" side... looking over the industrial harbor and the East Side of the city. The other side is presumably a gorgeous view of Stanley Park and the mountains. I didn't mind paying the bonus, but felt nickeled & dimed thereafter: parking was $42 while the website had claimed it was $39; they charged $6 for Internet (who does that anymore?); breakfast was $30.
