Glamorous hotel with a hint of pretension
The Pan Pacific is a beautiful building jutting into the Vancouver Harbor, alongside the cruise ship wharf. For well over $300 we were given a view on the "wrong" side... looking over the industrial harbor and the East Side of the city. The other side is presumably a gorgeous view of Stanley Park and the mountains. I didn't mind paying the bonus, but felt nickeled & dimed thereafter: parking was $42 while the website had claimed it was $39; they charged $6 for Internet (who does that anymore?); breakfast was $30.
