This hotel is great value for money, large rooms, clean and in a good location, just make sure you book correctly as they will charge for extra guests not on the original booking.

Great location. Room included a full kitchen, living room and bedroom... great for a weekend or longer stay w ability for food preparation or hanging out. Good value for money. All around good experience.

Great stay
It is an older hotel but very well kept and ideal location. Staff are awesome would definitely stay there again! Has nice kitchenette but with so much great food we never used :)

I was disappointed with the room on the ground floor next to the street, I asked for another room and was told to pay for an upgrade. I basically spent the day and night in a darkened room for privacy. The next morning I complained again and was moved across the hall to a tiny room with no fridge or microwave. I had brought groceries but could not cook them. I have marked this hotel as do not return. Location was great

Dear Guest, We would like to apologize for expectations not met. It was during your first night that we are already aware of your complaint. The report mentions that you would like to open the glass window inside the room but unfortunately you were not able to. And the room location at the ground floor near Robson Street will not work for you. Upon saying that, again, we must apologize for we have not served you our best. Those past weeks were busy. And we were full in occupancy. As much as we want to change rooms, we cannot for we are full. That small room, in which you moved in, was a Deluxe Rm which is basic (no kitchenette). Front Desk offered you though small but you agreed for the change to move. Or the exception only for the Front Desk to offer is an upgrade with an add fee for it will be a different room. This will entails us to move designated future guests from assigned rooms that we don't normally do because it was already assigned rooms. I guess you declined that offer. Hoping for your kind understanding to above matter. Respectfully,

Great deal overall.
Friendly; huge one-bedroom suite, a bit dated, but clean. Very good rates. No elevator. Great location. Parking is $21. per day, which is not bad for downtown. Would go back.

It’s a place to stay
It’s an average hotel, the service was nice but the rooms are pretty plain and sorta beat up. Parking like around the whole city is hard but they have a parking space under the building which they charge $24 for the night.

Our room was stuffy and hot. No control over heating. No fan in the room. Definately a dated hotel. Huge bonus is the location. Robson street and 10 minute walk to the waterfront. And stanley park.

We actually didn't mind the character/age of this hotel but the lack of heat on a wintery day in Vancouver was a disappointment. We used a microwave and immediately tripped a circuit! - but with a bit of trial and error we got it running again. Furniture, bedding and kitchen equipment were fine if a little dated. Location is very good if you need to be in the downtown area - Robson St is chock a block with eating options, shopping and you're about halfway between "downtown" and Stanley Park. Skytrain is several blocks away towards "downtown" but you can catch buses right on Robson to get you closer if walking is an issue.

I liked the fact that they run through the rules and regulations (especially the rule about quiet) at check-in. I liked the proximity to downtown. I didn’t like the fact that I was paying five-star prices for a 3-star (at best) property. I also didn’t like waiting for 20 minutes in the lobby for someone to attend the front desk.

This is an old time walkup apartment that is now a hotel. It delivers what it promises. It is in a very convenient location. The parking is not free in contrast to what is stated on the website.

Great location, everything else is sub-par.
The only thing this hotel has going for it is it's central downtown location and kitchen facilities, and friendly staff. They say they are a 3-star. Maybe this was the case some time ago, but now it's at a 2-star level. Furniture is worn and dirty (living room couch showed years' worth of dirt on the armrests and back cushions). Carpet is old and dirty. Layers of dust covered the living room table (I dusted the place myself upon check-in). It's evident that staff clean only high traffic areas and cut corners wherever they feel they can get away with it. Guests with children, heads up - the windows open wide but there are no screens and safety latches don't work so one could easily fall out the window, literally. The only way to regulate temperature during summer is to have the windows open, because there is no air/temp controls in the room.

It's in a good location. Easy access to Stanley Park, shopping, restaurants and the waterfront. Rooms were very clean. It is an older building with no A/C or elevator (Only 3 stories tall). It was nice having a kitchenette.

The location is fabulous. Restaurants and shopping everything close by. The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. My check-in and check-out was quick. The rooms were clean and spacious. The only thing I didn't like was the horrible coffee they serve. They should get a better quality and real cream or forget about the whole thing.

I booked the best room they have, but still there were not enough cooking facilities. No microwave, no dish rack, no tea towel. The oven was sitting on an uneven place. So don’t forget to take a cardboard with you to make it even. The fan of range hood was removed. So don’t forget to open the window if you want to cook. The worst part was about getting the invoice. They asked me to contact Expedia to get the invoice. The Expedia.com asked me contact Expedia NZ to get one. But Expedia could only gave me the itinerary which could be used as a receipt. All in all, no one could give me the official invoice. It’s a shame that their guest has to go through all these hassle. The staff and the management could not do anything to help. Their system sucks.

The location within the downtown core is excellent. A change of the carpets is likely in order but otherwise the condition was what I expected for an older hotel and everything within the suites was nice and clean. My biggest annoyance was having bottle of water placed on the nightstand only to find out that I was charged extra, after staying for four nights, for two bottles of water. Talk about nickle and diming and for that reason alone I wouldn't stay at the hotel again. I was there was a sign but I suspect it was a tiny piece of paper where nobody would ever notice. Anyways...its the little things that make all the difference.

Nice stay
$21 dollar charge for parking that wasn’t mentioned on listing. Room is an old apartment converted into a hotel room. Air was very warm and dry. Room was very clean and comfortable for the most part. Staff was friendly.

This is an old hotel so there is no elevator. Ask for a room on the ground or first floor or you may end up carrying your luggage up 4 floors. The electricity in our room tripped a couple of times when the hairdryer was in use, again because this is an old property. Heating is centrally controlled so we were told to open our windows when the room got too hot, however the windows open out onto the street so security is a worry if your room is on the lower floors. Otherwise, the hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious.

What we loved: Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great location. Quiet. What we didn’t like: We had to keep the curtains closed (thus, the room was dark and had no natural light) since the view was another hotel’s busy lobby and parking. People walking by so no privacy if curtains were left open. What was disappointing: In-room amenities didn’t include a coffee maker, microwave and small fridge. Bottled water was not complimentary.

I’ve stayed here before, but had a bigger suite. My room was facing the busiest atrear, which made it hard to sleep whem the noice, partying, etc goes on all night. My room had a kitchenette, which was important as I am road racing and need my training food. Sadly the fridge was broken, so they gave me a cooler to put my perisables in. Also, no pots or pans to cook with or boil water. After this trip, I wouldnt bool with them again.
