Bustling tourist spot in midst of vibrant city

Posted 17-Aug-2017
Pros: Staff friendliness, knowledge and care. Hotel lovely with excellent linens.
Cons: The traffic on the island during summer season can be difficult from late morning through 6pm.
Location: Must see UBC Museum of Anthropology - totems and history of the NW people. Granville island market is a great treat and the artisan shops on the Isla
Lovely respite in the midst of a bustling location with great artisan shops, waterfront activities, and fabulous local market. Easy to travel to airport and other attractions in and around Vancouver. The staff were terrific hosts and truly made our stay.

Fine hotel in Vancouver BC

Posted 15-Aug-2017
Pros: Room. Staff.
Cons: Restaurant could be much better for dinner.
Location: Granville Island itself, many stores, places to eat.
Pricey but good value, the hotel is a pleasure to be at. The rooms are very good, especially the rainforest showerhead shower: Luxurious. The rooms have A/C, which was great when I visited in the middle of pretty warm summer weather. The restaurant is quite good for breakfast but somewhat weak at dinner. Staff are very good: When I had a question about my room rate, the person quickly tracked down details and made me happy; later I got an excellent recommendation for a Japanese restaurant (Minimi) in Yaletown. The hotel is in walking distance of the various offerings of Granville Island itself. I expect to return to this hotel when next I visit Vancouver.

Great Hotel With Gorgeous View

Posted 14-Aug-2017
We had a great time staying at The Granville Hotel. Watching the paddle boarders, rowing clubs and others was such a fun way to start and end each day. Nice to be able to walk around the island and the fun shopping, especially the public market. We dined one evening at Dockside, their restand it was very good. Would definitely stay again!

Room with best view

Posted 10-Aug-2017
Pros: Wonderful dockside view from luxury king room.
Cons: More counter space in bathroom. Room felt a little crowded (luxury king ). Could have used another table next to bed.
Location: Nice walk to granville market, excellent dockside patio and restaurant
Great little hotel in Granville island with best patio restaurant. Spectacular views from our room, though it felt a little cramped with the bulky furniture. Nice linens and towels. We would go back, definitely.

Fantastic stay at Granville Island

Posted 1-Aug-2017
Pros: The location was wonderful and there is a local bus service that will take you into the centre of Vancover.
Location: Stanley Park was a great day out. Vancover town has plenty to do with beaches as well.
We were a family of 4 and had booked a family room. Realising quickly that it was too small we asked reception if we could change our booking. This was no problem at all. Yuliia especially on reception helped us changed our room and also found me a medical centre as my son was suddenly very ill on arrival. She was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. They moved our bags whilst we were out and the service was outstanding. The location is on the water and you can walk to many others restaurants and breweries.

Charming boutique hotel, well situated near the Public Market, restaurants and shops. Staff courteous and helpful. Dockside restaurant in hotel was excellent and offered a beautiful harbor view. Would stay there again.

Excellent location. Clean and comfortable room.

It was nicely located at the Granville island. Convenient by transportation. The hotel itself was nicely designed boutique. For our family it's more than a hotel, but a sanctuary. Walking distance to farmers market and the stores. Board walk is right behind the hotel and it's so enjoyable to walk. Staff are very polite and helpful.

Nice hotel with Vancouver view

Posted 25-Jul-2017
We really liked the hidden oasis feature about this hotel. Staff were all amazing and so helpful! Had drinks in lounge but no happy hour available. We liked having the balcony and the view of False Creek and Vancouver. Went to Public Market everyday for great coffee at La Petite Amie. Food is awesome there too! Rooms were a bit tight but worth it. We loved it! Great running just outside of "island" entrance. Would return!
