The location of this hotel is great which makes up for it being a bit older then other comparable hotels. Rooms are a bit small but very comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here as it makes a relaxing home base when visiting Vancouver.

Nice hotel on the waterfront of Granville Island

Posted 1-Oct-2016
Pros: The rooms were wonderful and the staff were accommodating.
Great hotel close with water views. My only complaint is because Granville Island shutdown shortly after 7pm you had trouble finding food. Plus, then town had very little light to walk the streets.

Nice hotel in Granville Island, yet expensive

Posted 29-Sep-2016
Pros: Location is wonderful
Cons: On top of the high expense of the room there is a charge for the parking
Location: So much to do in this area of Vancouver. The public market is a must see and the waterfront and stores are outstanding.
Like most hotels in the Vancouver area, this hotel is very nice, yet very expensive. It is in a very nice area of Vancouver and Granville Island is a must for any visitor. After staying in Victoria and Whistler at this time of the year (september 2016) the rates at the Granville Island Hotel are by far the highest.

Luxury hotel in a perfect spot

Posted 25-Sep-2016
Cons: Service in the bar and restaurant was slow and food not brilliant, although staff friendly.
Friendly staff, lovely room and great facilities. Granville Island itself is a fabulous place to base yourself and the hotel is in easy reach of everything. Reception staff were really helpful, particularly pre check in (I arrived very early) and post check out (I didn't leave until early evening, going that extra mile.

Quaint hotel, Grandville Island Hotel.

Posted 21-Sep-2016
Pros: A comfortable room and nice and helpful staff. Nice view by the river, water homes, and boats.
Cons: What's to improve on such a wonderful hotel.
Location: We take public transportation while visiting and traveling to other cities, Grandville Island was an easy central location to get around Vancouver
I can't express enough how wonderful this quaint hotel is. Great location (by the river) near the Farmers Market, lots of cute artistry shops, and near public transportation.
