Location, room and motel amenities were disappointing. On the booking offer, it stated the motel offered breakfast with my rate, however, did not describe their definition of breakfast, in which I found to be a "Grab N Go" breakfast that was basically a piece of fruit or muffin that was displayed on a small desk table in the front by the entrance. The room itself was not cleaned properly, the bathroom and carpet were disgusting and looked as if it might have roaches or bedbugs (I didn't sleep well at all). The room offered a kitchenette, however, you had to request dishware/silverware as needed and the picture on the TV was distorted. The location of the motel was questionable as another run down motel was right across the street and it looked as if criminal/sketchy activity was a normal routine between the two motels. I did not feel safe or comfortable by any means.

Room was neat but filthy.

The floors were very sticky. Wiped it down with a wet towel and it came up black. The floors should be thoroughly mopped after each guest's stay.

Location: Close enough to the Colombia River Gorge.
Staff excellent. Like having refrigerator and counter space. Asked for extra pillows, weren't available until the next day. Continental breakfast is sub-continental. Would have like to have queen size beds, only double beds available. Bottom sheet in one bed had dirt particles on it. Requested and received clean sheets and replaced them ourselves. The floor was sticky in front of the T.V.

Hotel past its prime

Pros: Location
Cons: Complete renovation. The hallways smell of smoke. Rooms smell of pets and who knows what - both a dispensary and cigar store are within a block
Location: Near I-5. We drove to Mt. St. Helen's, went to Cannon Beach and Seaside, and the beautiful Columbia River Gorge with all the waterfalls.
Our family of 11 stayed in three rooms. We picked this hotel because of it's location (near highways to we could travel to Mount St. Helens, Seaside, and Columbia River Gorge; also near restaurants and a grocery store) and because several family members have dietary issues and a kitchen in the room would be nice. Turns out we didn't use the kitchens all that much. The linens and carpets in all the rooms were stained. Refrigerators were old and well used. Staff were responsive when asked for additional linens and kitchen items (the rooms are not stocked with kitchen items, hair dryer, or detergent, we had to request them). Room 202 smelled bad when we checked in but we weren't there very much. On the last day, though, the odor was overpowering. Staff provided a bottle of Fabreze but it was ineffective. We couldn't unpack because the odor was picked up by our clothing. My CPAP stunk as a result (I've since cleaned it). This hotel is past it's prime and understaffed.

Disappointing

Pros: Close to eateries, freeway access and well kept landscaping.
Cons: Access/ entry from parking lot difficult ; room access card required several swipes.
Room comfort was lacking due to missing bathroom mirror,hair dryer and badly soiled comforter.

Disappointed that there was so little for a so-called breakfast. Other places we have stayed for very close to same price at least had cereal or even hot food.

Close to the bridge & highway

It's very close to the highway and not on a terrible part of town. Staff was friendly and helpful..... We did not get the king size bed we signed up for, not sure they exsist (i dont see how they would fit in this room) Not sure if its their policy or if people ruined this experience and the hotel had to adapt. Even though you have a kitchenette, you have to "rent" pots, pans and dishes from the front desk. They dont do housekeeping everyday ( we stayed for 6 nights and didnt quality for someone to come clean) When you need new towels or sheets you have to bring the dirty ones to the desk and trade them for clean ones. The free breakfast is coffee, little debbie mini muffins and nature valley bars. Its not the worst but the other guests chowing down is a huge turn off. It seemed more like an apartment complex and at 5am the lobby is filled with construction workers who get in 2 vans to go to work. Their one vending machine doesnt take money and the laundry only takes quarter. I would not stay here again. I would pay the extra or EQUAL amount to stay at a real hotel. (Or rent a cabin)

Messed up communication between ESA and Expedia

Cons: I think employees of ESA need to be empowered to make things right for their customers.
Booked a double room for business colleagues. Room reservation did not arrive between Expedia and ESA. I ended up having to go to the property myself and pay got two rooms. This was very late at night and everyone was tired. I was reasonable with the desk clerk, had a copy of my Expedia reservation. She acknowledged that it indeed, was a real reservation but could not access info (I know some of this is Expedia's problem) The desk clerk had little authority to make this right. I decided to pay for two rooms (since there was no double available!) and then hope Expedia and ESA could work it out. It did get worked out but I never want to go through this again. It's a shame. My husband uses this hotel all time for business colleagues of his and it has mostly worked well. But this was not a good experience. I will think twice in the future before booking it.

Okay place to stay for a night

The place was ok, the bed was not comfortable; unfortunately the walls are very thin and the noise from the other rooms is annoying. Shower felt like may come off from the wall any time--it was wobbly the WIFI was connected for a short period of time then it went off. Fortunately, i did not have to work on my computer at all.
