5/5 Excellent

Beautiful Location
A great quiet spot by the ocean and Kristen is a very helpful host!

4/5 Good

Charming Cabin
Kristen and Dan are excellent hosts. The cabin which overlooks the ocean is rustic but comfortable. The setting includes a beautiful garden and a comfortable sitting area overlooking the bay and the ocean. You can watch sail boats and the ferry plying the waters between the island and the mainland. The cabin is very well located to explore the island. Texada Island has amazing beaches to comb for Flower Rocks or walk for miles when the tide is out. You can also find oysters and clams that you can eat within season. The island is different from other gulf islands in terms of the rock formations which gives it more of a rugged feel. Given the active limestone excavation, it feels like more of a working island than a retirement haven for the wealthy, unlike some of the other gulf islands. The people reflect this; friendly, down to earth and resilient. We recommend you visit.
