El Mocanal is a picturesque village located in the north of El Hierro, from where you can see the island of La Palma, weather permitting. The village's church dates back to the 15th century and is dedicated to San Pedro. It is the most populated village in the old windward area. A mere 15-minute drive will take you to Charco Manso, an enchanting locale where caves, arches, and bathing areas have emerged as a result of basaltic lava flows. It is an ideal location for exploring the seabed, as the deepest areas are home to a multitude of species. Furthermore, the Pozo de Las Calcosas is just a 10-minute drive away.
