"Breakfast was phenomenal -great variety. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Refrigerators had individual freezers - totally awesome. The pool was really nice. Close to the interstate. The front desk staff were really great!! Would definitely stay there again!"

"Lovely property in a pleasant neighborhood. Check-in and -out was easy. The furnishings were comfortable and well taken care of. The front porch was very inviting. I enjoyed sitting in the rocking chair in the evening. The backyard is fun, sporting a swingset, playhouse and play equipment for kids. There’s also a koi pond with small koi fish. It was fun to sit out there and watch the fish. A gregarious, friendly orange tabby cat, who is a stray, visited the last night I was there. He enjoyed the cat food I fed him that Jill, the owner, had for him should I want to feed him. The bathroom had all the usual functions including a bidet. Cushy, soft bath towels were lovely. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of pillows of various firmnesses to choose from. The bedroom also had a ceiling fan - a bonus for those who like to sleep cooler.The kitchen sports a generously sized fridge, pots, pants, utensils and whatnot. I was able to cook breakfast everyday. It is an older kitchen and it’s clean. There is a dining room with a table that seats at least 6. The neighborhood was quiet. A few blocks away, there’s a pharmacy. In the other direction, a pizza plac, a used bookstore / coffee shop, and a local ice cream shop (the ice cream is quite good). Getting to the freeway was quick & easy, too.I’d gladly stay here again. "

"The house(mansion) was incredibly beautiful. If you reserve the Pepin Room, the bathroom is detached. It is in the first floor and the guest rooms are all on the second floor. We ended our stay with an amazing breakfast and great fellowship with other guests. "

"We had a great week here in New Albany/Floyd Knob. The house is spacious and nicely decorated and the back porch was a perfect spot to sit and enjoy the wooded lot and all the birds. For us it was the best of both worlds: a quiet place in the woods to stay but in just 15 minutes in the car we could be in downtown Louisville where we had dinners out at great restaurants 5 nights. New Albany has some good local restaurants too that we used for takeout our first couple nights. We would highly recommend this for its beauty and convenient location. We were able on a daily basis to travel 15-30 minutes to great parks in Indiana and Kentucky for hiking, walking along the Ohio River, and for biking. Just a great spot and the owner was very responsive to all communications."
